Sign Horford now (miss on Durant who goes back to OKC for one more go-round).

Trade for J Butler at the trade deadline using BLK 1st in 2017 and/or 2018, Crowder, salary filler.

Sign Durant in 2017 off-season.  Trade Bradley and/or Smart for solid starting center.

IT
Butler
Durant
Horford
FA center

I like that starting line but how about, instead of trading for Butler, trade for Cousins and sign Ryan Anderson this off season if we miss out on Durant.

IT
R. Anderson
Durant
Horford
Cousins

Because I was trying to be "somewhat realistic".  ;)  I don't think C's are acquiring both Durant and Cousins.

People have been talking about getting Butler and KD, but I feel like they can't coexist. Butler has mentioned that he has been second fiddle his whole life. I feel like he wants to spend as much time being the top guy as possible. People have been saying how his superstar tendencies are starting to show.

Which people?  Sorry to be sarcastic but it's hard to believe Butler would not want to play with Durant. They are Team USA teammates. Rose is a different story.
