It would be bad for the NBA if he goes to GS. The league would get less competative.

I don't know. When I read stuff like Durant is strongly considering the warriors I think to myself considering is the key word there.  He's just considering them.  He's not going there.

He's not considering us.  He's choosing us. For good reason too.  Because why wouldn't he?

Honestly any self respecting person would not marry a girl who is just considering them.

These rationalizations keep getting wackier, and I love it.  TP.

awful for the league.  awful for the fans.  awful for nike.  awful for durant.  just awful.

But at least he'd be taking a steaming dump on Clay Bennett - so I'd get over it.

Funny thing is, it would just make LeBron an even greater underdog.  King James would gain so many points if Durant goes heel like this and turns Golden State into the evil empire.  There would be no shame in rooting for LeBron at that point (assuming LeBron gets past our solid 55 win contender and Embiid's 76ers).

For Durant, it would be like when Hulk Hogan joined the NWO.

Love this quote from KD from 2010:

Joining Golden State would be 10x more anti-competitive than what LeBron did in 2010.  I'll lose all respect for KD if he does that.

Haha someone posted that earlier and you just know he'd get eaten alive by this hypocrisy if he did that lol

Seriously, every C's fan should retweet this to KD or some media blowhard.  They'll run with this!!

Saltlover "source": Player's Tribune article being released at 11 am.  Decision might be made before then, however.  Down to OKC, Boston, Golden State.  Golden State is third, but being floated right now to test public backlash.

Never thought I'd see leroid be the league hero.

If that happens, I'm buying gold, water, ammo, and retiring to my my bunker to wait until Armageddon passes.

I feel this would be more like a chair shot from Brett Hart.

We also just had the NBA version of the Brett Hart-Shawn Michaels screw job in the NBA Finals too.

Celtics = Jon Snow

Horford was a long shot now it seems Durant is as well

I can't imagine Durant would go to GSW and lose all credibility as a competitor , after the tweet about the Lakers and the heat and losing to GSW last year....

Tom Brady is Durant's favorite athlete. I have the same birthday as Tom Brady.  Coincidence? I think not.

if Durant was just coming back to the THunder, what would be the point in waiting to announce it?  Why delay?  Guys announced their free agent destinations within minutes of the 12:01am start of free agency.   Does he really need to craft a press release and publicity tour around staying?  Just announce it and be done with it.

The only reason to delay is if he's still on the fence or he needs to reach out to people, carefully craft his press release, and announce his departure at an appropriate time.
