Why are everybody's thought we will have to use it. Who do you want to use it on? Bad contracts for more assets?

I'm available, and I don't cost nearly as much as Howard. ;D

Save it for that magnificent 2017 crop of free agents

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
If we do nothing, then the remaining amount will go to the players on the roster, right (as decided by the players union?). If that's the case, maybe AB, IT, and Crowder will do us a solid on their next contract negotiations.

A more realistic option would be way overpaying for Biyombo and Crabbe on one or two year contracts.

This.

Bunch of excessive one-year deals in the meantime to reach the floor will be fine. If we don't get a top free agent, Durant and/or Horford, then sign nobody for longer than one year. Wait for next year, and be the only good team that can offer 2.5 or 3 max contracts to a better crop of free agents.

Keep building through the draft and developing our own wonderful crop of talent.  I wouldn't waste it on anyone except Horford or Durant or maybe a few bargain guys.  Surprisingly enough these are players who are our own free agents, although I wouldn't mind getting a wing who can shoot.

Use it on a couple excessive one year guys and roll it over into next year.

No Horford / Dwight / Durant = another bridge year, folks.

If they lose Hordford I go Gasol or Stat. Then keep JJ and AJ.

I'd be glad to suit up. ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Pau and Deng on 2 year deals could be an interesting tack to take.

Depends if we get KD or not, although I imagine no Horford means no KD.

But Atlanta can't keep Dwight, Al, and Milsap, can they?

Hawks fans say they can.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Yeah, I'd go after Gasol too.

I mean, they can afford them, but are they rejecting small ball outright and playing Milsap at the 3?
