"I grew up bleeding green, a diehard Celtics fan," Bonner said Thursday, during his annual summer camp at Rundlett Middle School. "So at the end of my career to go back home and finish for the Celtics would be a storybook ending."

Would be a decent stretch 4 off the bench. If he takes the vet min, I wouldn't mind.

co-sign if the roster space is there, otherwise I'd rather give it to a rookie.

I'm all in, and he can stay after retirement to teach our rookies how to shoot the 3s  ;D

I wouldn't mind either, but I find it unlikely we'll have the roster space for someone at the vet minimum, unless we consolidate a few guys at the back of the bench in a trade.

If we get KD and Al, then sure, the Red Rocket can come chase a ring.

Pass. And I like Bonner. He's from NH.

I remember watching Bonner's high school play a team from Memphis in a preseason tourney.  Not live, it was on a local TV station in NH.  It was one of the strangest game I've ever seen.  None of Bonner's teammates belonged on the court with any of the guys from Memphis and none of the guys from Memphis were a match for Bonner. It was basically a 5 on 1 game.  Bonner lost, but it was very close.

meh.  I suspect the roster crunch will make this moot.

Unless Danny moves KO for another piece, I can't see signing Bonner.

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Me too. Solid bench guy.

Assuming Bentil and Jackson make the roster, we are going to be strapped  for roster space.  That is assuming a couple of Jerebko, Amir, Sully and Zeller also make it back.

Dang -- I was at Rundlett Middle School on Tuesday.  Would have been fun to see him.  I have to schedule my meetings more carefully.

Depending on roster spots I'd take him.
