I did not know you can even bet on FA

so we have the best chance to sign Howard according to this? since it's a 1:1 bet?

and +1600 for Durant? wow, I should put down some money lol

Well that's interesting but he's not even going to meet with the Wizards, Knicks and Fakers

These lines are usually pretty plugged in. This seriously does mean we are pretty likely to sign Howard....

I'm putting 100 on every team that has the odds 1200 and above, I have to win at least one right

I'm not a gambler, but aren't those odds designed to "even out" the betting money?

The odds are based on how much people bet. New York fans obviously make up a disproportionately large block of bettors, so the Knicks odds are inflated.

Or at least I think thats how it works.

I mean in theory, all odds are designed to do that. In general those, this does reflect that either the book itself thought Boston was most likely to get Howard. Or the betting public put enough money on Boston to move the line into making them the favorite. The odds are though that this reflects some informed knowledge of what will happen because they don't give free money.

Which is amazing since they'll get a whole bunch of people betting on something that (conceivably) can't actually happen.  Free money for the book.

The lines are reflective of public perception. If a tweet comes out and say's Howard to meet with celtics the odds will favor him going to the c's.

Bottom line is I don't think these guys have made up their minds so vegas certainly doesn't know.

In fact, I think the c's are a good bet right now. Not that it's going to happen but the payout is good if it does.

Miami is way to high. And it's because of the perception that Riley got Lebron there. Which is actually false. Lebron got Lebron there.
