Atlanta would have been an awesome option for Durant if they had of kept Teague. A Teague - Millsap - Hoford trio with Durant as the 4th and leading player would have been lethal.

I don't see the appeal anymore without Teague though. Schroeder is too raw.

The Celtics were equally as good as Atlanta with them having Horford and us not having him. The Cs simply signing Horford away from Atl would give us a far superior team, nevermind the addition of KD.

And this is not even taking into account that they just lost their starting PG and are going to lose a strong starting player in Bazemore.

Furthermore, that team is O-L-D. Atlanta is a joke compared to Boston.

Yeah, if they want to play together and have the best chance of winning, then it's going to be in Boston. Horford is older himself, but he's one of the younger ones in that core with Korver and Milsap. Also, they've shown that they're completely incapable of beating the Cavs. They've lost something like 12 straight games to the Cavs, including two series sweeps. Without Horford, we've at least beat Cleveland at home once and play them tough each time we play.

They're trying to get a meeting with KD because he's KD lol I don't really think you could look too much into this being a Horford/Durant thing other than Horford being their actual free agent.

Boston appears to be the only destination capable of fielding a competitive team without having to sacrifice current assets where both he and Al could play. I would actually put us in the lead in luring him away from OKC.
