If the C's can even get a meeting that's a win in itself.

Supposedly it's already a certainty, according to Woj.

Like pretty much everyone, love everything about KD - his game, his demeanor.  However in March, he did say he's not a frontrunner.

I get that he's about to hit his absolute prime and the guy is itching to win a title.  That said, signing with GSW or SA would be such a front-running type of move.

I think its either Durant signs a 1 year deal with the Thunder or goes to SA. It is hard to compete with what SA has, our only chance is if we get a good season and Durant signs a 1 year deal with OKC.

I'd say he goes east.

Well he mightve if Cleveland not picked themselves up after game 4. They looked lost then. After that it can make Durant second guess if going to the East is any different.

Whether the Cavs won or lost, the east is still more wide open than the west.

Well yes, but Durant got to game 7 in the ECF, against the team that didnt even win the whole thing. He might think he can go there again with OKC. Whereas if he goes to the East, sure going to Conf finals is easier, but they got swept by Cleveland and by blowouts too.

He could be thinking getting to the conference finals is easier in the East, but getting to the Finals is easier in the West.

If he goes to SA, getting to the conference finals will be even easier in the West.

I'm just happy the lakers don't seem to be in consideration for now.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

They still have the Clippers, the Warriors to contend with.

Per Woj, the Celtics are indeed, going to be on his list.  Nice - Lakers and Knicks seem to be on the outside  ;D

Woj reporting that we'll get a meeting for sure! That's a big step in our development, at least! When's the last time we even got a meeting with a top free agent? I think the IT connection is actually a decent one. It's got to be a Horford/Durant pairing that they'll pitch him.

Celtics, Warriors, Clippers, Heat, Spurs, and Thunder.

Down to 6 teams it seems like. The good news is that four of those teams are in the West, and the Heat have so many unknowns that it helps us with regard to recruiting him.

The Clippers are an interesting choice, because they'll have to do a S&T for sure to make money work. But they like hardly have a team around their stars, so it's hard to see that working out.

The Clippers?? Seriously?? Come on KD, you do not want to finish your career with that franchise!

No, no, no. One series does not change the entire layout of the past two years. There are four legitimate title contenders in the West - OKC, GS, SAS, and LAC - and only one in the East - Cleveland. It is undoubtedly easier to get to both the conference finals AND NBA Finals in the East than the West.

They were never a serious option, imo. They don't have the supporting cast even if they get the stars, which is just as important.

Well you'll never know unless you talk to her. Plus she might have some hot friends. C's couldn't even get a meeting with Love last year.

Yeah, I don't understand it really either. That team is the very definition of top-heavy without a supporting cast around it, especially after they lost JJ now!
