Other teams hopeful of getting their own opportunity to make a recruiting pitch to 2016's most coveted free agent but whose status is not yet known include the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

There never was much hope. Just a fool's hope.

Durant should go to the Spurs. That is the best option for him in my opinion.

Yeah. I think he's told IT that he'll at least give them a meeting to hear them out.

It'd really disappoint me if he goes to the Warriors. He'd really hurt his overall legacy and status as a top player in the league, plus it very well could hurt them chemistry and fit-wise more than help them. I can see him staying obviously, going to the Spurs, or going to Boston, perhaps Miami but that's questionable due to their unknowns. Everywhere else is a pipe dream.

I lean on him staying one more year with the Thunder with the Celtics second and the Spurs third (I think he has the same concerns like you said with the Warriors.)

Sure would be fun for LeBron haters to see him in GS, though.

Woj reporting that we'll get a meeting for sure! That's a big step in our development, at least! When's the last time we even got a meeting with a top free agent? I think the IT connection is actually a decent one. It's got to be a Horford/Durant pairing that they'll pitch him.

Celtics, Warriors, Clippers, Heat, Spurs, and Thunder.

Down to 6 teams it seems like. The good news is that four of those teams are in the West, and the Heat have so many unknowns that it helps us with regard to recruiting him.

The Clippers are an interesting choice, because they'll have to do a S&T for sure to make money work. But they like hardly have a team around their stars, so it's hard to see that working out.

I think its either Durant signs a 1 year deal with the Thunder or goes to SA. It is hard to compete with what SA has, our only chance is if we get a good season and Durant signs a 1 year deal with OKC.

I'd say he goes east.

They have to do some serious cap maneuvering and lose key pieces to make the room for him. They also highly covet Conley, who has interest in him and other teams around the league, so I expect them to gauge KD's interest and ultimately go for Conley if it's questionable.

Well he mightve if Cleveland not picked themselves up after game 4. They looked lost then. After that it can make Durant second guess if going to the East is any different.

If the C's can even get a meeting that's a win in itself.

Whether the Cavs won or lost, the east is still more wide open than the west.
