Saw a lot of him this season and am thrilled we took him. Very raw defensively and needs a lot of work on that side of the ball, but he's pretty elite as a distance shooter and slasher.

Compete for a roster spot?  He's easily the best big guy on our team, and it's not close, imo.  Stevens won't play him and he'll spend the year in the d-league, though . Ugh.

Don't worry, man.  He's got a great work ethic, a great motor, and skills, etc., which is much more than we can say for James Young.  I've seen a couple of random blog posts (I know, I know, meaningless, but I thought I'd throw it out there) compare him to Mo Speights, although Ben has superior speed, quickness, and footwork, especially defensively.  Look at the part near the end of the video where he steps out on the pick and roll - that's outstanding, and at least part of the reason why he can do that, imo, is because he grew up playing soccer, as did Thon Maker, Pascal Siakam, Daniel Ochefu, and Tonye Jekiri.  Just something to think about.

Reminds me of Bass. I expect Bentil will be 3rd string PF for a year or two before becoming a quality backup PF.
