 Two pretty dramatic reaches IMHO.

 Jaylen Brown at #3 overall
Taurean Prince at #12 which is even more surprising to me. I thought he would be a reach for us at #16 but would have been ok with Prince at #23.

I felt like they were the only two Small 4 words to be worthy of selected in the first round with a big drop-off from brown to Prince.  The small forward position must really be at a premium right now cuz it seems like teams are reaching just to secure an athletic strong small forward.

Anyone ended else think that was a factor. Trying to guard Lebron James, Durant, Derozan, Paul George is as important as it gets.

I do feel better knowing we have not one but two High end Small Forward's, that are bug strong and athletic.

Crowders injury at the end of our season, played a bug part in our demise and loosing hone court.

I agree Brown was a reach, but there is little incentives for teams to trade down with us. Suns doesnt want Dunn, if Boston wanted to trade with the wolves it means they dont want to take Dunn so he still falls to them even if they dont trade down. The pelicans have been linked to Hield and there is little indication that the Celtics, Suns and Wolves wanted to draft him so they are safe. The Nuggets are in no need of a PG.

The only team that really needed to trade with us was the Sixers, and the Wolves, but the Wolves.. it is predicated on the possibility that the Celtics want Dunn at 3. All other teams may want Dunn, but at that point there's a chance Brown might not be available anymore. So I guess that's why they picked Brown at 3 and didnt trade down for it.
