  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
1) Extreme physicality-guys that seek out contact.
2) play hard on both ends (two way players)
3) high character /discipline/strong work ethic

Anyone else pretty happy overall with these picks?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I hope that high character translates to points and production

Getting these three guys was not the job to be done tonight. The job didn't get done.

Maybe they can use their high character to sorta just convince the ball to go into the hoop.

None of them will be playing more than fifteen to twenty minutes a game for the Celts anytime soon.

I'll wait and see. But I'm one of the few people that are optimistic here. Watch people sing praises on these rookies once they tear it up on Summer League.

They are all not guards.

They were all bad choices?

Nothing to help us this year at all...

I see they are not willing to put.together a team to challenge Cavs .

So......screw the fans and throw away the picks ......and not even trade for any star players ......that's just throwing in te towel.......waiting for LeBron to turn 40

Honestly, sounds like a bunch of whiners on this board. It is good that we all have opinions on our favorite players. Fortunately we don't know as much about them as Danny Ainge and his group who have worked each player out and scouted them extensively.

You don't like the 19 year old picked? Guess what, he could be much improved by the time that he gets any serious burn. Look at guys like Tyson Chandler, Biyombo, Chauncey Billups, etc. They all took time to develop, but have each contributed to playoff runs. There's no reason to believe that Jaylen Brown can't contribute in the long term.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

This sets us back, that's what they all have in common.

"Win-now" became "rebuild" or "tank" once again??? Sounds like 2013-2014 season all over again!

I'd say Brown will.

I am fine with the picks.
Free agency is next.
