Let that sink in for a second.  Instead of Danny making a straight deal to get the team what it desperately need, he did his usual "I'll stand-pat because I'm not able to screw other GMs in a deal" move.  We blew our only chance at getting this team what it needs, A CENTER. 

More years of being average.  When was the last time we won a championship?  Yea, 10 years ago.  Ainge is that guy that has stay on the job too long and because he knows his job is secure, start making ridiculous decisions with all kinds of excuses to back them up.

Disastrous? Pump the brakes on crazy early pessimistic opinions based off of youtube clips from an 18 year old.

Jaylen Brown has crazy athleticism and could be special. High risk, high reward pick. We have enough decent players with limited upside- it was time to swing for the fences. The two Europeans are also supposed to be talented post players, something that we definitely need.

And yes, we do need shooting. How about a healthy Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder, in addition to $35m to overpay for a good shooter (its prob. going to be hard for the Celtics to spend that $ anyways).
