Whenever we've had this much smoke, there's rarely been any fire.  Just smoke.  I'm thinking after all is said and done, DA drafts the BPA at #3 and we move on.

Now, at #16 and #23 (and in the second round) I would not be surprised to see a move.  We simply do not have the room to introduce all these draft picks into the fold.

I'm expecting we draft Dunn . I'm fine with that. I'm already tired of hoping smart will be something he's just not. I think Dunn improves the team and I'm happy with that. Everything else is gravy for me.

I expect something to happen.  I don't know what exactly, but I expect something.   We could take Dunn, but I'd expect a follow-up trade.   We can't roll into next season with 7 guards and 7 draft picks.  Really high probability we do something tonight.  Especially if the rumors are true and Okafor and Noel are available.

I think we should expect some east teams to leapfrog us but we already played above our heads snyways. Dunn is young and has a ton of potential. We're not contending anytime soon anyways. Seems like a good idea to take the best player.

If we trade for Noel I'll be happy too.

The best thing that happened all day MAY be Thad Young getting traded. Maybe Lopez will follow and they'll be the worst team almost locking us in for s top 3 next year. A lot of maybes but hey, that looks good at least for now.

I think something will happen.

I'd love for either of the following:

- #3 to Philly for Noel and Okafor
- #3 to Philly for Noel and a future unprotected 1st
- #16 + #23 + player to Milwaukee for Middleton and Monroe

I'm not willing to bet my life on any of those deals happening, but I'd be beyond stoked if they did.

I think at the end of the day, if none of the above looks like to happen (and no other similarly impressive deals show up) then Ainge will probably either settle on #3 for Noel, or else he'll draft Dunn in a last ditch effort to prove to teams that he isn't bluffing - and in a hope that one of the interested teams will be forced to play their hand and make a trade.

If no major deal happens and we either (a) trade for Noel or (b) keep the pick and draft Dunn - then I'd still be really quite happy with either of those outcomes.

To your point in the Philly thread...if Teague goes for #12 and Young goes for #20, the value of the #3 is now pretty well set.  And that value is high.

I'm think they need a 3rd team.  Hello Chicago??

I agree, and to be honest if we do take Dunn I would expect we will keep him and move Smart, Rozier or Bradley - with Smart being most likely to go.

Dunn has such an incredibly high ceiling that it doesn't make much sense to move him unless you're going to get a monster of a return.  Makes a lot more sense to move Smart, since he is essentially a poor man's Dunn and likely has more trade value then Rozier.

Unlikely that Bradley would be the guy moved, because just in case Dunn doesn't work out, Danny would probably want to make sure he has a solid and proven veteran shooter at the SG spot.

Me neither. I don't see any trades with 3. Maybe other stuff, but Danny's gonna take Brown/Dunn at 3 and nothing will happen.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

All three seem a bit too optimistic to me tbh;
-two rookie contracts for one pick;
-an unprotected future Philly 1st has high value on its own: they should continue to be a lottery team for the foreseeable future.
-two picks for two players.

Not my fav but it will be Bender.

Nope, Mark Murphy confirmed it won't be him. It'll either be Dunn or Brown

I think Dunn is better but worried that with an overload of guards, C's will be over a barrel in trade negotiations.

That is logical, best thing to me is all the guys they are talking about trading for are all young so we can build with any of them.
