Rather have Oakfor or Noel for the 3 pick .

Ibaka is a FA after this season. They're looking for a middle round first pick or a player in return if they are looking at moving him.

Look at his stats the last two years, Ibaka isn't the 24 year old monster athlete with room to grow anymore. He's regressed in every area except 3 point shooting.

Yeah......I don't do stats .....but the eye test ......Ibaka is looking less and less dominant .....I see a down hill trend in his play .   Like Noah ......

Boston - Ibaka, Noel
OKC - Okafor, 24
Philly - Johnson, Young, 3, 16

OKC doesn't really need Okafor with Kanter in the mix.

This is very interesting. Who could they potentially be targeting to replace Ibaka at 4, though? With Durant's impending free agency, this makes no sense unless they have someone set to take his spot in the starting lineup. I can't imagine that Kanter is it.

I would certainly think that trading for Ibaka would help in the Durant pursuit, too. I think Bradley would be the guy they'd desire from us.

I'd do Bradley, Young, and 16 or Bradley and KO for Ibaka. You'd have to try and balance making them better and more attractive to Durant versus making us better and more attractive to Durant. We'd still have room for Horford and Durant in this scenario, in addition to the 3 pick.

They're probably anticipating KD re-signing on a two-year deal. Next summer, they'll have to let go of one of KD, Westbrook, Ibaka, Kanter, or Adams, because they just can't afford to pay all of those guys. They kinda have to shop Ibaka or Kanter and knowing Presti, he's probably higher on Kanter's potential than Ibaka's.

It's probably less about replacing Ibaka outright and more about the upcoming financial issue.

Olynyk -- they need a big who is a strong passer and can make outside shots. Olynyk will work well alongside the interior play of Steven Adams.

You don't get the #3 pick for a 1 year rental on a non-All Star.

End of story. So maybe Bradley + #23 is the right deal. Rim protectors are worth more but Bradley fits that team like a glove, is also a 1st team All-Defense and Ibaka's contract is coming up which significantly reduces his value. But the #3 won't happen.

I'm sure they would be quite happy to start Westbrook and Smart as an offense/defense combo. They've been starting Andre Roberson for crying out loud- who averages (under) 5 and 4 with no shooting or passing. And Smart is a better defender.

Regardless, it would be great value for Ibaka, who is expiring, to get 3 years of Smart on a rookie deal while they deal with keeping cap room.

I think it's more about the return Ibaka would get compared to Kanter. Is anyone going to trade for him and that contract?
