They seem to think they actually have leverage in trying to trade for the #3 pick.  Which is adorable.  But truth be told I expected there to be much more of a feeling of "Boston would be crazy to not take Okafor" than there was.  They seem to be just as conflicted about what exactly Dunn is and if he's worth acquiring.  Just a little interesting food for thought.

If we do anything that resembles Jahlil for the #3 pick tonight I'm breaking my television.  I still have yet to see why we aren't swinging for the fences in a creative way outside of "must get established superstar."  I'd rather see us make a questionable deal for an Exum/Lyles package and have it blow up in our faces that makes us much worse in the short term, than stay the course and strap in for another 45 win season with an early playoff exit. Getting Okafor is exactly the type of move that keeps this team on track in purgatory.  Gross.  And I'd argue the same for staying and taken any guard at 3.

Some of them were saying an Okafor for Wiggins deal straight up would be good for both sides...
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Not sure what those folks were smoking, but then again, being a 76ers fan for too long can cause damage.

Did the wolves hire hinkie without my knowledge? If the sixers still viewed him as part of their family that's the only way it makes sense for both sides. Okafor wouldnt be able to handle thibs.

I'll be honest, I thought there would be way more outlandish ideas like that one than what I saw.  Not saying the crazy ones weren't there (Someone saying Noel and Saric would be too much for #3) but I wanted more to laugh at than what I was given.  Shame really.

This is not shocking news.

Team forums are often heavily populated with homers who overrate the team's position/players and underrate every other team's position/players.  It's not as if this place is any different.

So the 76ers are hoping to take Simmons and Dunn. Neither of whom can shoot. Adding them to Nerlens Noel who has no offense at all, Joel Embiid who might not actually be able to play basketball, and I guess Saric who apparently isn't really all that good after all.

Knowing that, I would trade the #3 and #16 for Okafor and the 76ers unprotected pick next year. They're gonna suck again for sure. I don't even like Okafor, but take away their best offensive player and how are they going to score?

thank god we avoid that here at cb!  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

You get a Tommy Point for accurately characterizing the nonsense on this board today.

Celtics fans (and, reportedly, possibly the Celtics as well) want to take a poor shooting point guard to go along with their other poor shooting guards and wing players.  How is that really any different?

If I were a Sixers fan I would be posting about how crazy it is that people here actually want Okafor and Colangelo should include whatever it takes to get the deal done.

I'd also hate myself.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Uhhhh....did you read what I just wrote?  Conventionally speaking, of course it's safer and more sure to trade for Okafor over the Utah kids.  My point is I'd rather we shoot for the stars with the risk we fall flat on our faces rather than do moves for the sake of doing moves just to get an "18 and 10" 7 footer that makes no one better and is the exact opposite of everything a team needs in today's NBA to be a serious championship contender.  At least that way if the trade does fail, we get worse in the short term, thus improving our chances to hit in the high lottery.  A trade for Okafor is staying the course and being satisfied with 3-6 years of 45-50 win teams with early playoff exits.  I've seen that movie with this team already.  I'd rather watch garbage in the hopes of gold, or take 2 unknown commodities and hope they hit their ceilings.  Both of which would be SIGNIFICANTLY higher than a Jahlil Okafor: Starting NBA Center ceiling
