Isaiah Thomas on recruiting Kevin Durant: ‘We definitely have a shot’: “We definitely have a shot. I know that for sure,” Thomas said on Sirius XM NBA Radio on Wednesday. “I’m just trying to reach out when I can, and stay in his ear here and there. … My relationship with him is real genuine, and hopefully I can get him to come to Boston.”

IMO the only shot we have is if we can land Butler and then sign Horford or whoever Durant wants us to sign.

I think that ship has sailed.

Did IT just admit to tampering? Or is player to player contact exempt from that rule ?

The NBA rules say "person affiliated with an NBA team" -- so I'm pretty sure this doesn't exclude players.

Tampering period ends July 1, btw.

I think it depends on what Westbrook wants to do. If he stays in OKC, Durant will stay.

After the Rose trade...

Butler is untouchable

We have a shot at Horford but ATL is hinting they are willing to keep him with a max...  :o

I'm not so sure about that, with rose, gasol and Noah all leaving, that is going to be a pretty awful team. I don't think Butler is going to be very happy playing for a 30 win team, and he has already had some disputes with management .

I will say that I don't like IT4's style, he's too talkative in the media. Durant has been pretty quiet and isn't flashy like that, why not mimic him until his decision is made?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I keep saying it, but I don't think the Rose trade has any impact on Butler. They are not grabbing a major piece with that money this offseason.

I think that ship has sailed.

While it may have left the docks, I think it's only taking a small tour and will be back as soon as the captain hears the engine knocking.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I saw on his Twitter that Thomas is doing an autograph signing session on Monday over here in Washington state about 20 minutes from where I live.

I've been thinking about going if I have time.  If you could ask Thomas one question, what would it be?

I think we have a chance, I just think it's a slim chance.  But better than 25-27 teams' chances.  Tonight will be a big step toward seeing what kind of roster situation we can present him on the 1st.

If we actually have a real chance, it should only require one or the other.  As discussed at length in a thread a couple of weeks ago, getting both Horford and Butler would make the finances of signing Durant very difficult, if not impossible.  So I think one would be necessary, but not both.
