Bender is intriguing, no doubt. But he is also a huge risk. I think he will be good eventually, you just never know.
The consensus from scouts I've read is that if anything he's one of the safest picks because he's already done well in a simple role for a professional team (which is what he will likely play for us as a rookie) and dominates competition that is his age.
We discussed this Sports Science thing on the Celtics Reddit the other day. I didn't know there was someone who actually put any stock into these things. I always thought it was just simple measurements, sometimes-silly contests and testing methods and fancy graphics. My point I made then was that since its on ESPN, I don't understand why someone assumed it to be substantive.
