Sources: Several Western teams aggressive on Thad Young, whom Brooklyn's working to move to highest bidder. This gets Nets into first-round.

I'd like to see him gone from BKN, but not sure how high I want them to be in the first round. Eh, screw it. They aren't going to get high enough to get a contributing rookie. A trade could improve 2017, even at the expense of 18.

Sources: Charlotte's offering No. 22 - if team will take contract of Spencer Hawes or Jeremy Lamb. Hornets need space to re-sign free agents

I can handle that.

No matter who they get, they will probably be worse than Thad over the next two years. Thaddeus is good.

I'm not the biggest Thad Young fan, but I'd wager that anyone they draft outside the lottery will not be as good in two years as Thad Young.

Thad Young would be really good for Toronto or Phoenix. Fill their hole at PF and fit their styles of play. I don't think he is worth the #9 pick though. Probably not #13 either given how far away from Phoenix are from being a threat in the playoffs.

Seems more likely to be in the 15-19 range. Maybe Memphis (#17). Young would be a strong fit next to a center like Marc Gasol. Gasol's passing and Young's quickness and movement would be hard to play against. Indiana would be great (#20). Thad Young and Paul George at forward. Teague and Monta in the backcourt. Myles Turner at center. That is one heck of a starting lineup. I'd love to see this happen.

I would rather have Hawes. Shorter contract and his shooting at the 5 could be a nice fit in our system. I know people will be critical of adding yet another pick, but it could add yet another draft and stash guy, which would be another asset down the road.

Young is in the odd predicament of a PF who can't stretch the floor and doesn't have great size for the position. But the can play, and if the #23 with no strings attached will get him, I'm all game for that. Perhaps even #16.

He always plays great against the Celtics. I bet Brad would love to add him to the team. Can create his own offense, has a great motor too.

I'd rather just trade for Young, though that doesn't work without some other move (of course boston can't acquire Hawes without another move anyway).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Thad getting moved may be the most exciting thing on draft night

I was kind of thinking the same thing.  Maybe #23 + a 2nd rounder but I imagine the Nets hang up if the Celtics call.

Yes sir, I'm in on Young.  Think he'd be a very good addition.  Twenty-eight y/o, averaged 15/9 last year.

I'll throw in Amir and Sully if they also give us their 2019 and 2021 firsts, with an option to trade picks in 2020.

We don't need more picks.

I'm in on Young hard. I'd give them 23 & 45.
