Of all the various trade scenarios involving the third overall pick, how do you rank the trades?

Let's say the options are third overall pick for one of the following (alphabetical order): Embiid, Hayward, Middleton, Noel, Nurkic, Okafor.

My preference:

1. Embiid
2. Middleton
3. Nurkic
4. Hayward
5. Noel
6. Okafor

I'd be all in on Cousins or Jokic if we could pry them away. Next is Embiid. After that, meh...

I'd be fine with just some new credible rumors.

At this point my favorite move would be to trade down from #3 (but no later than 10) and try to pick up another 1st rounder this year (or next year if its the right team and unprotected). This draft is so weak we may as well gamble hard in the 10-25 range and see what sticks.

The rumor craving is real!
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I would love a healthy Embiid, but Philly won't trade him if he has a good medical prognosis.

I was would spend a lot on Cousins.  If we can get Butler without drastically overpaying, that would be great.  Other than that, no other trades that include giving up the #3 pick, future Brooklyn picks, or current key players really excite me.

I see a trade for butler as the top priority for danny. Now that rose is gone and gasol and Noah are likely bailing, Jimmy is not going to be a happy camper in a rebuilding team.

I could see a dunn, ab, jerebko or amir ,  and non brk picks possibly getting it done.

Okafor is the only player on this list that is even close to the potential of Dunn. I wouldn't make any of those deals. Just draft Dunn and call it a day.

Reeeaaally don't think Chicago will let him go now. You don't go and buy 3 years of Lopez without having a shot at the title

Okafor for 4 reasons:
1)He is better and has more realistic ability to improve on both sides of the basketball. 280lb CENTERS do have defensive rotation issues their first year in the NBA....especially at 19
2)He is very undervalued because of the "new school" NBA mindset, which labels players too quickly , and as a rookie he showed realistic abilities to improve.
3)We need a legit CENTER
4)We need someone who can create their own offense(besides IT) and Okafor can score at will.

I think I was considered crazy a month ago for saying we won't trade the pick and that Danny would not make fireworks. Keep the pick and draft Jaylen Brown. Trade the lower picks to get back into the top 10 or a top 10 next year. Trade all 2nd rounders to get into the top 15 next year. Stay the course, use the Brooklyn picks wisely and stay young. No reason to trade the future for vets. Please don't pick Bender.
