Ugh. I wouldn't trade for Embiid.

There are medical people at KU who think he's never going to be able to play meaningful minutes in the league, the foot version of Sam Bowie.

I've always wanted a big man with a sweet tooth and catastrophically bad feet.

Legitimately made me laugh out loud. TP

who doesnt?  ;D

but back on point, if his medical records check out then ainge should look carefully at embiid. of the three philly big man he is clearly the best...........assuming his foot cooperates.

Huh? Guy's never played an NBA game. It's neat that he's talented -- so was Greg Oden. Reality's a female dog.

Maybe pick 23 tops?  Probably more like 35.  The guy hasn't played a game in like 3 years.

Pass... Are there any players that became superstars after not playing for two years? It is hard enough to come back from missing one entire season. This guy has not played a meaningful basketball game since February of 2014 That is insane!

Is there profound stupidity at play in Philadelphia?   The ONLY reason to trade Embiid would be if they believe he is not going to be the player they hoped.  If that's the case, why in the world would he be of any value to us?   If he's available, they get pennies on the dollar, and his availability would be a clear sign that he's not worth pennies on the dollar.

I believe that I am not going out on a limb by saying that we will not be getting Okafor or Noel plus Embiid for #3.

Yeah, this seems quite obvious - interesting there is such a dichotomy between the pro-Embiid people and the anti Embiid people.

Like others have said, if his health checks out, then sign me up. He was considered the best prospect of Wiggins, Parker, and him until the [first] injury.

Embiid and Okafor for #3, Olynyk, RJ.

Embiid - I haven't played a game in 3 years because of injuries for pick #3?  You guys are crazy.  That's way too risky.  As the previous guy put it, no way you trade a top pick for Greg Oden 2.0.  That would be the biggest waste of the biggest draft assets we've had in decades!

I would ask for their #24 and Covington too. Embiid is too risky. At least put some insurance.

I'd take Embiid off Philly's hands for a second-round pick. I'm sure the CBA wouldn't allow for that, but that's all I'd be willing to risk.

If Embiid had the exact same freshman season, stayed in school, broke his foot, and redshirted his sophomore and junior seasons before coming to the NBA, where would he be taken in this year's draft? Because that's a pretty simple way to evaluate his value in terms of picks.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be #3. Or even #16 for that matter.

Regardless of what potential he may have had two years ago, he's not worth much to anyone except Philly at this point.

If you wanna use the #3 on Embiid you may as well use it on Caris LeVert.
