Now, there's someone who's plugged in.

Good news. Ainge is trying to trade out of the draft.

It'd better be DeMarcus Cousins or a superstar talent if it's multiple Brooklyn picks before packaging others.

I trust Bulpett more than almost anyone else not named Woj.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I don't see where you read that, merely that Boston is prepped and ready for whatever phone call they are on and have a game plan for the call that is extensive.

Danny is ready to move anything and anyone for the right player/pick always has been.

I've always felt the same so tp to you. Jackie Mac and Bob Ryan drive me nuts. Bulpett is the best local writer.  Woj nationally.

There are some young local writers that are pretty good though but they more report on other reporters lol.

agreed...
the only BKL pick I'd do is a swap of the 2018 BKL pick...definately not in 2017

I don't get the draft pick deal out of this report at all, either.

Just sounds to me like they're open for business, to trade out of this draft and move veterans as well.

As they should be.

Agree, especially with the part that Brooklyn picks aren't even remotely implied here, nevermind mentioned specifically.

I would assume we have a lot of contingency deals set up depending on what people want to do.

Now, whether they're going to go all stupid and try to sell to the sheep - again - that there "just wasn't a good deal out there" is a different matter altogether.

At some point, they've got to realize that all these "assets" aren't assets if you sit on them and continually try to hatch them like an egg.

Not every deal has to be a total fleecing - sheep reference number 2. There's nothing wrong with both teams getting better in a trade.

You can fool some of the people some of the time ...

You mean like when Ainge offered 4 first round picks for Winslow last year?

How many of those were actually good picks?

And remember that Ainge has admitted he kind of panicked in an effort to get something done.

I think they grasp that their credibility is on the line this summer, actually. I don't think they're dumb enough not to see the trouble they invite by the above.

And I still think something is going to get done with Philly.

Or now Chicago, after the poo platter they picked up from NY for the poo platter they sent out. That is not a build for the future deal.

That is a "We want rid of D Rose. Give us whatever you got" deal. Lopez is barely serviceable and they're going to have to call a mortuary to pick up Calderon's corpse.

yes, which means ainge does his homework and is well prepared heading into the draft.

when boston suggested a trade with charlotte during the draft, their front office was totally unprepared for it and had to reject it. ainge will not allow opportunities to pass the team by due to lack of preparation.

good for him.
