Pending no trades (and I would deal for any of the Stein 4 players rumored (Hayward, Butler, Middleton, Parker) -- I like them all): Probably willing to deal Bradley and 3 for those players but not anything more of significance. No to Noel or Okafor....too flawed, not versatile enough to waste our best asset on.
Dunn or Murray at 3. Both of those guys are going to be good players. Draft night is not the last night to make trades. 1-2 of Rozier/Bradley/Smart/Dunn or Murray can be moved later in the summer to ease minutes logjam.
Sabonis/Poeltl/Zizic at 16 (or higher if we can package and move up into the 9-13 range)
Those are my current hopes.
Have you actually scouted Okafor and do you have any experience predicting/scouting the development of big men. And Okafor is a BIG MAN, usually it takes more than a rookie year(after 1 and done at college) to determine if a player is just is incapable of improvement or is it both realistic improvement AND physical maturity that may be the cause of the incredibly quick development many want to see.
I've seen enough of Okafor to know that he will be a very good defender, even though not a top athlete, he posses length, size, and very high bbiq.....think how tyler zeller was decent at protecting the rim.....Okafor is much longer and bigger than zeller.
Also Okafor will be a much better offensive player. His shot mechanics are fine and he will be knocking down 15', which he showed last year, often enough to make it a good part of his game which will open up things for his offensive game and his teams game.
