Yesterday. Both hosts crying that no teams are interested in anyone on our roster. Ofcourse that's not true with cheapie a like crowder and Bradley it's just not for the right price. Jones all along is saying how he knows it could take awhile. What's with all the crying now? This is why in my opinion we should have built through the draft, forget signing stop gap veterans and try to win with guys you hope to develop into assets. You can't cry now that we don't have better players because we just had to get to the 8th seed 2 years ago.
Maybe smart would be more valuable but Stevens gave the ball to turner and had poor shooting smart sitting in the corner the last two years. Jetebko big mins at end of last year, Sully starting over Olynyk. People weren't crying on the way to 48 wins. Can't cry now if you liked that direction.

It's rumor that sixers would deal Noel for 3. I would be pretty happy with that. He's a proven commodity( although one way player) but still he's excellent at that one end of the court. It could be worse.

Smart was injured half the time, and whoever we would've picked at 12 instead of 16 wouldn't move the needle in trade talks, anyway.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Not just 12 instead of 16. Smart, not turner should have handled the ball. Let him take his lumps. Show rozier at least a little besides garbage minutes. Instead teams have no idea about rozier. Signing Lee and ****g starting him? And again, starting **** Sully??? We would have developed guys more and yes lost games even though busting their tails. Now turner likely and should move on, sully should go. What was the point now?

Adam Jones had a total fit the night Rondo was traded, claiming Ainge got fleeced and to mark his words. I called into his show to remind him of this a few weeks ago when he was on one of his dim I-told-ya-so rants about how various Cs players are overvalued in the eyes of fans.

He's 98.5s hoops guy -- that's pretty sad.

98.5 is awful drivel. It makes me dumber every time I listen.

We didn't sign Lee, we traded Gerald Wallace for him.  If you're gonna criticize Danny/Brad at least get your facts right
I'm bitter.

I thought he was decent. The rondo thing ticked me off when he was traded. Not the trade itself but how the media was calling smart( who was in no way a similar player) the next Celtic leader. It was never his fault but I just hated the anointing of an unproven player and a dismissal of a guy who at least for a long time provided quite a lot. So I could understand frustration with that and I've agreed with SOME stuff he has said. But I think after listening to him more he just seemed so much better because so much of the hoop media in Boston are horrendous.
I don't need to bring up Felger and Mazz who are proud to admit they are ignorant about the NBA. But so many others- just horrendous.

I like this forum I really do.  Most of you see the world for how stupid a lot of people really are. It's not ignorance on my part either. I've just dealt with that enough in my life to know how stupid some people are.

I think Gasper is my new fave to listen to. I'm hoping to find one or two I can stomach hearing.

Gah. You're right about Lee. I shouldn't have said signing. I knew that. My bad. But still , to me, just awful starting him. He was never going to be here when we're contending for anything. I just don't value the empty wins vs developing other guys.

I think fans( and I think most here understand) if the chosen path is incrementally getting better this will MOST likely take longer to get to be a contender. I get aggravated listening to fans who want to bring Sully back, start him, or start jerebko, keep Kelly and Rozier on bench, have Marcus in corner in favor of turner , and be now upset we don't have assets valuable enough to get a star. These our the breaks (In MY opinion) of choosing this path. Can't cry about it now .

I'm tired of braindead comments about how we should have played player X to increase their trade value. Idiotic. These people assume outcomes that are very questionable. The more you force a young player to do, the greater chance you expose them as not being the prospect people once considered them.

With Smart, we have put him in good situations to succeed. We have allowed him to be a net positive. Increase his role on offense and he could easily become a net negative and feel like a bust.

The problem with sports talk is people like this who pretend there was some magic formula that would have made everything wonderful. Delusional. Success winning games gives a halo effect to all players on a team. Abandoning winning to force responsibility on young players can quickly lead to getting quarters on the dollar for young players like Philly is getting.

And Bitter Jim, it's a mistake. You don't have to be so bitter. Lol
