"Tim Kawakami of the Mercury News has reported Nowitzki 'is somebody Warriors management has circled' entering the offseason, which began Sunday night after Golden State lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. He also reports the Warriors 'have no idea if (Nowitzki would) be interested in leaving Dallas.' Nowitzki will become an unrestricted free agent if he doesn’t exercise his player option for the 2016-17 campaign."

  • That's turrible
The title is all theirs next year if that happens. The hell with Barnes, sign Dirk for a couple of years. He can still ball

 Curry
 Thompson
 Dirk
 Green
 Bogut

Great lineup and a good way to do something with the offense now that there's a blueprint to stop the current incarnation of the Warriors. Dirk could provide some well rounded scoring in the post and perimeter. Plus I think they've learned their lesson that risking injury to chase a pointless record is a terrible idea.

Wow, Dirk to GS actually makes a ton of sense. It would be a great fit for both parties.

Get rid of Barnes and Ezeli. Sign Dirk and probably, Noah or Horford.

Dirk has had an amazing career.  Think of how productive he still is in comparison  to the remaining guys from that amazing draft class.
Yup

Dirk was always expected to opt out, to help give the team more cap space.  I'd be shocked if he went to Golden State, unless the Mavs tell him they're going for a youth movement.

Can they afford both Dirk and Durant?

I wonder what kind of money Dirk's worth?  How many years does he sign for?
Yup

That is a perfect signing for GS. f course I have no idea what their money situation is nor do I specifically care if they improve except for the fact that if they are playing LeBron I do want them to be better. His 15 foot fall away shot would have been very difficult to defend along with having to shut down Curry & Klay from deep.

lol the GSW did not lose because they were chasing a record... they lost because Cleveland wanted it more, and in the end was the better team.

We should get Dirk lol
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Yep. I don't think he's going anywhere regardless, I think he has a lot of interest of retiring as a Mav and playing his whole career there.

He's been MVP and an NBA champ, he doesn't have to go chasing anything.

I think both are true. Lebron wanted it, and with them breezing threw the weak east that had more in the tank at the end. I don't recall Lebron having that much gas and the end of games in 7 game series.

GSW looked tire, and took more jumpshots then they should have. They were banged up too, Curry didn't look like he did at the end of the season. Every one raves about their record, but when the Bulls got it, and shut it down, and could have won more games, but Phill new the playoffs were more important. Kerr should have known that, and cut their time back. They wer up 8 in game 5, could have put it away. But could have been too tired to battle againts the Will of Cleveland.

But again, Cleveland stepped up if they were down and tired and GWS didn't. So kudos to Cleveland.
