Draft night moves to vault us to contender status!

[Obi-Wan-Celtics]

Long time Celtics fan here ever since I was 10(21 now)! KG was my favorite player and my idol when I first started watching the NBA. When he got traded to the Celtics I fell in love with Boston the fan base and the pride of that team. It made me fall in love with the nba (mostly the cs lol) im completely obsessed now. I would love to get back into real title contention and I think I have a few good ideas to help us get there!

DRAFT NIGHT 2016!!!!!!!

1)Trade Marcus Smart, RJ Hunter, James Young, 16th, 23rd to Philadelphia for
Jahlil Okafor, Carl Landry, and 24th

2) Trade Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson, 3rd, Nets 2017 swap top 4 protected, multiple seconds to the Chicago for
Jimmy Butler

3) Resign Turner,

4) Sign Terrance Jones, Ian Mahimi or a cheap big bodied defensive center, and Evan Fournier to even out the roster and we are looking at the 2016 depth chart looking like this

PG: IT/Turner/Rozier
SG: AB/Fournier/Butler
SF: Butler/Turner/Fournier
PF: Mickey/Jones/KO
C: Okafor/KO/Mahimi

I think this makes us a much more solid team tell me if you think these moves are a good or bad thing for us! and LETS GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

My understanding is that not only can you not protect the swap but you cannot add any protections to traded picks.

TP. Welcome to forum. I'll take you up on your offer of telling you what I think..

If we trade at all for Okafor - let alone for that many assets - I will literally stab myself in the eyeball with an old fork. Bookmark this comment Obi-Wan and be sure to throw it back in my face in 4 years time when he wins a title for the Lakers.

Also, the protection on the pick swap rights, was actually discussed before in another thread and someone who seemed to have done some research said that for some reason you cannot protect swaps. Makes no sense why you couldn't though...
