Two deals on twitter right now @StatisticsNBA with sources:

Okafor for #3

Middleton and Monroe for #3 and another player.

Who's the other player?

I like Philly deal better. That's over $30 million in salary for Monroe/Middleton. Too much.
Get Middleton alone for less. Use the #3 for Okafor or Noel.
I would guess Bradley and then Johnson for salary filler.  If that was the case I think I'd rather do the Okafor deal as well and save Bradley for some other trade.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

If I'm getting scoring frontline help, I have zero issue taking Noel for the #3. None whatsoever.

If Noel is all I'm getting, and there are no other deals, different story.

Noel is probably the best rim protector in the game. I think Phily will sweeten the deal because they want dunn so bad. Maybe a 1st next year?

I like both Noel and Okafor for different reasons. This is a rare situation where Hinkie drafted 3 centers 3 years in a row with top picks. Celts are in perfect position to grab one of them. And they're cheap.

Good lord, no thanks on Monroe + Middleton. We're going to spend $32M of our cap room on two guys the Bucks are trying to unload, for 1 year of Monroe, and give away our top-3 pick in the process? That's just awful. And we have to send back player(s)?

Yeah, that's a lot of cap space to spend on them. Would we just play small then around Monroe? IT, Bradley, Middleton, Crowder, and Monroe! We'd also have to send out quite a bit in salary, too.

Just checked salary. We'd have to send MORE THAN Amir, JJ, and AB to get it done. They're about 300,000 short. No thanks. I prefer Noel and Love/KO  ;)

Presumably, this deal would get done after the end of the July moratorium, so we could use cap space to absorb some of the money.  Mike Zarren would have fun with it
I'm bitter.

From Philly's perspective, if they get Simmons and Dunn out of this draft -- and keep either Noel or Okafor (along with Embiid) -- they are well on their way to being the TWolves of the East. A high ceiling young team with a great future if the chips fall the way they should.  Add the LAL pick, the Kings pick, their own picks, cap room -- finally the Sixers will be a team to be reckoned with.  Tanking done to near perfection.

What I fear most is that when Thursday night and 2016 Free Agency plays out, both the Lakers and Sixers will be far ahead on their rebuilds than the C's.  Hopefully Danny works some magic.

The Celtics are reportedly want Nerlens Noel in exchange for the No. 3 overall pick in the upcoming draft.

Sorry if this was posted

:o *facepalm* That's essentially trading Dunn for Noel, which has more than a good chance of becoming one of the worst deals in franchise history, imo.  Yikes.

I don't see any way that they're ahead of us at the end of the summer.

I think it was on the CLNS podcast that I heard them basically describe Kris Dunn as a better version of Marcus Smart.  Smart with more passing and shooting ability.

If that's the case, maybe we should just try really really hard to include Marcus Smart + #16 in a package for Noel... and just draft Dunn.

They're not even remotely similar as players.  Don't insult Kris, lol.

Who says you're getting just Noel ? You think Ainge is giving up 3 for just Noel ?

Honestly,  I think it is time for a little perspective on Okafor.

I'm sorry, but this dude is clearly worth the #3 pick by himself.

I would certainly do Okafor for the 3.

If you do that, though, you better be certain you can improve his rim protection if the Kevin Love thing is serious. Love and Noel look like a better tandem to me right now than Love and Okafor.

I am not interested at all in the proposed Milwaukee deal. Don't think we get $30 million worth of value out of that.

Watched that game because I enjoyed watching Towns play. That was one of the few times I saw KAT get abused.

I am reluctant to put definitive stock in one game, but what I took away from that is that Okafor has enormous growth potential in the right system.

And I believe Brad Stevens could get that out of him.

I've not really understood the fear of Okafor from so many here.  He looks like a 20/10 guy for sure.  His offensive skills are tremendous for a young big man.  And with CBS coaching and guys like Crowder and Smart pushing him defensively (and in general), I think he'd be a great addition to this team.
