this is great news.  I like Okafor a lot more if we keep the #3 pick.  Considering all the guard prospects on the board there, makes some sense to send Philly one of our guards in the deal instead.

I bet Okafor would have been a handful to guard last night in the 4th quarter.

I saw GSW and Cle trying to post up but not with much success.
Regardless of what team he was on, they would have identified him, put him in the pick and roll and scored on him with ease.

For every basket he could have scored in the post he would have given up 2 buckets on the other end.

True...but I think he can get better under Stevens.

True...but I think he can get better under Stevens.

Given his physical gifts, there's no reason that Okafor couldn't play good defense other than the fact that he's not very good at it right now.

If we are trading for him, then we are betting on Coach Stevens being able to bring that out in him because the only way he is a productive modern day NBA player is if he is able to defend the rim and switch on the perimeter.
