I just have Forsberg's tweet on the matter, so if anyone else has the piece of the article dealing with us, feel free to post it.

Essentially, the trade is this:

Sixers: Bradley, Rozier, Hunter, 16, and 23

Celtics: Okafor, Stauskas, Carl Landry, 24, and 26

Now, obviously this seems like a much better deal than giving up the third pick, but we are still losing two valuable pieces in Bradley and Rozier, along with giving up the two better picks in the later first round in the deal. But it's interesting to see what he thinks Okafor's value really is, which just shows how much the logjam they have really hurts them.

However, I think you'd ultimately have to make this type of deal, because it still leaves you open to another deal, e.g. Butler with the #3 pick. But I'd change the players just a bit:

Sixers: Bradley, Rozier, Hunter, 16, and 23

Celtics: Okafor, Stauskas, Covington, 24, and 26

This would actually give us a little over $2M more in cap room, which would be helpful in any potential trade or free agent signings.

If we couldn't trade the third pick for a decent haul, then it'd seemingly set up either a Chriss or Bender pick at 3, since they're pretty much the perfect fit next to someone like Okafor long-term, i.e. excellent defensive potential, mobile, stretch the floor, etc.

I would be fine with this trade but it makes resigning Evan Turner the top priority after the draft.

I'm definitely in the keep AB camp but we should consider his value right now:

- Coming off an All-Defense 1st team season
- Finishing a healthy season (after a few shaky ones)
- In the middle of a good contract (with cap rise, near excellent contract value)

I'd still rather not trade him but right NOW, his stock can't be much better than a year from now and especially in two years when that contract is up and he is still 27 looking for more money due to the increased cap.

Just a thought.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Where is the sign on the dotted line?  I'm in!

Bulpett said a couple days ago we still may trade for butler or okafor, but neither is happening without the #3 pick.

I don't think Philly is really in a bargaining position of power to make such a demand with their thousand bigs that can't play together. The entire league knows that they HAVE to deal one if not both of Okafor and Noel, so they're getting low-balled, as they should be.

Right since they are both 2 way players and have equal value.

I'd see this as possible if they were intent on flipping AB and #1(Simmons) for Russell and #2 (Ingram).

Rozier, Russell, Ingram, Saric, Noel.

If we lost Bradley and Rozier, Gary Payton II just jumped 15 spots on my draft board.

Would love to somehow get Dejuonte Murray but couldn't see it without 16 and 23. Any way we could swap out the 23 for the 31 in this deal?

That actually makes a lot of sense for both sides. TP!

And Bob Ryan said that he would trade the 3 pick for Kevin Love.

Keeping the 3rd pick and landing Okafor would be sweet. I hope this rumor has legs.

I bet Okafor would have been a handful to guard last night in the 4th quarter.

I saw GSW and Cle trying to post up but not with much success.

Regardless of what team he was on, they would have identified him, put him in the pick and roll and scored on him with ease.

For every basket he could have scored in the post he would have given up 2 buckets on the other end.
