 That's great, but there is no better player than Simmons. It's a steep price but hey you want a star or not.



 Modified it to include Okafor. I think this is a no Brainer now from the Celtics point of view.

Philly laughs at this offer. Crowder just a year and a half ago was a throw in on the Rondo trade. Smart has not proven he can shoot.  And you expect to get the no. 1 pick and last year's 3 pick? C'mon.

Some bit pieces for Simmons AND Okafor? HA!  Very creative. That would be like a woman who got paid a quarter million dollars to do a graduation speech about the high cost of college wearing a $12,000 blazer for a speech about income inequality. It's on that level of absurdity.

That was my initial gut reaction.  After thinking about it though I cooled edited my post and feel its somewhat even there are reasons why I still wouldn't do it though.  Not sure what getting Simmons and Okafor do for us.  I question whether either guy is a star.  I'd rather have 4 guys on that level than 2.   I'm not sure Simmons and Okafor are that big a jump over any of those 4.

They are probably better than the 4 guys but even that is somewhat debateable.

The #3 pick too is really the kicker.  That's just too much depending on what else we can get. There are still questions what we can get for that.

I just feel like this trade is  shortsighted as it stands. It needs more analysis.  Yeah we open up 2 roster spots etc.  But I don't know.       Are Okafor and Simmons really that good?  We are giving up 4 real quality players ourselves. It's kind of a bleh trade.

 People don't want Okafor, they want Simmons. Philly needs guards, we need bigs, we can Add Hunter, Young, Rozier if they Like.
