Knicks have had dissussions on derrick rose

The Knicks have no assets to offer for him (Porzingas and Melo are off limits) and since he's on his last year of his contract, it's not happening.....

Well that's why I think it's likely to happen. He's one of the few players out there where they don't have to offer assets to get him, in fact they will receive assets along with him, like a 1st round pick, which the Knicks have been clearly after in this draft.

They are unlikely to trade Melo, Porzingis, or Lopez (Bulls probably wouldn't want Lopez for Hoiberg's system anyway).

Would Grant, Afflalo, and 2 firsts (likely to end up in the 15-25 range) be enough?

If so, I'll offer 16, 23, Jerebko, and James Young, because that's about the same level of assets. I'd take a chance on Rose for one year at that price.
