a rim protector will re enforce perimeter defence and reduce wear and tear on guards and crowder
amir is brittlle
we don't even have a rim protector off bench
the celts defence is so good imagine it with a big shot blocker -even golden state had a lumbering big
love scored 7 points last night -he is david lee in disguise with a better shot-he can't switch and his lateral and technique are abysmal-he is no all star anymore
bradley will shoot better with a rim protector as he will be able to play with less intensity saving energy

The Kevin Love and Jimmy Butler rumors are off the charts.

Love might work if he is side by side with a force at center and rim protector. I just don't like the idea of trading a Crowder or Bradley if that's what it takes. Maybe one could rationalize giving up on Olynyk and draft picks not at #3, but Jae could be that one guy in a couple years where everyone is asking when did he become a top ten player?

Maybe Crowder won't become that great and last year when he was on fire for offense was an anomaly. And the same thing goes for Smart and Bradley in a why fix it if it ain't broken sort of way. I think our core is underrated and I sincerely like the current chemistry.

I like the idea of Kevin Love in that he was definitely once one of the best players in the league. He's no Kevin Garnett, but I figure those kinds of players get tired of being great on bad teams. Isaiah seems to fit that formula. Pierce had all the stats in the world, as did Ray Allen, but until those three players sublimated their egos along with solid young players like Rondo and Perk, to go with a great bench in Powe, Posey, House, and PJ Brown, they had won nothing.

Every time the topic comes up on T.V. about great players with no rings, one starts feeling bad for Barkley. Even if Cleveland sneaks out a game seven win in Oakland, Love's ring won't have much value in that respect, not with the flimsy stats he's been putting up.

Hopefully Danny is smart enough to know that if he acquires Kevin Love, he will also need to find rim protection. That could be Jordan Mickey, but that is no guarantee and that would be a small ball lineup with Love and Mickey.

It's going to be interesting what happens and the waiting and conjecture is soon coming to an end. Thankfully.

I am probably way off base, but if Danny could get us Love and sign Howard for a deal that is not long-term or too risky, that'd be a nice front court with Amir, Love, Howard and Olynyk or fill in the blank to substitute for anyone who is involved in trades. Howard and Amir would be short term solutions or one of them would eventually need to become a backup to our future center. But with that kind of front court to go with Crowder or whomever as the SF along with our championship made little guy part of the roster, we could steal a title starting next year.

I want Danny to find good to great players who are ready to participate in team glory over individual success. Lots of people like to say in Danny we trust. I am kind of chewing fingernails hoping he doesn't get burned by one of his blind spots.

Danny seems to overvalue the little guys over size and height.

A Gortat would have been nice if such a player was available. Say Gortat was 27. Sign him to the deal with inflation that the Wizards gave him.

I hope Danny plays it smart and doesn't take his huge mountain of assets for granted. Kevin Love alone would be fool's gold without a solid center to watch his back.
