Amir johnson is a short term solution as a rim protector. In today's Nba becoming smaller I think noel will be very valuable. He could become Deandre jordan except he can run the floor and shoot free throws. Noel is currently available. He is young and could fit in great with our core. He would really boost our defense and as for our offense he score around 12 points.

I like Noel for the Celts emphasis on defense and he would boost the rebounding. However, he doesnt move the needle enough to be the centerpiece of the off-season moves.  Still need another scorer to go with IT like, say Butler.

I am interested in any big man who can protect the rim.  If there is one thing DA has not done is not get any big men worth a [dang].  He is horrible at bring in any big men that can play.  He has a guard mindset.  It all started with his trade of Perkins.  We haven't had a center worth a [dang] since.  BRING IN SOME BIG MEN WHO CAN PLAY OTHERWISE WE WILL BE WAITING ANOTHER TEN YEARS FOR #18

I'd love Noel, our team would probably be the best defensive team in the NBA with him.

Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Noel, /empty/

Can't score, but good luck scoring against them.

I'd certainly love Noel, too. He'd be the perfect five to stick next to someone like Love. Would you be willing to give up the three pick for him though? That's pretty steep.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

The big problem with Noel is that if you get him now, you'll probably be forced to max him at the end of the season. He's certainly a good prospect but I don't relish the prospect of paying him 20m a year.

Great words from a great man

He's on a lot of our radar. I personally would prefer someone that is a two way player but depending on the cost to get him and the cost to keep him, count me in.

How is having a big man pairing where one is offensively challenged and the other is terrible on defense a good pairing?  In today's NBA they can't cover for each other.  Noel can't help Love defend the perimeter on the other side of the floor.  Love can't pull Noel's defender out of the paint for him.  The amount that they can offset the other's weakness is very limited.

Don't think he's as offensively challenged as opined here
Would be a great addition unless being back in his home environment would be bad off court

When you say he could be the next Deandre Jordan you have already lost me.
Pease take a look at their DX profiles on this pagevvvvvv

Measurements and athletic testing are just a few of the variables. But measurements, like age, are almost always set in stone(Greek Freek grew 2 inches over the summer after his rookie year).
