Let me start this out by saying that since the Jahlil news broke, I never thought he was our target. He is a Chicago native and I think we talked with the sixers about a 3 way deal. Now that it has come out that the Sixers have been shopping Jahlil for a top 3-6 pick(Steve Kyler), I think this trade could be perfect for all parties, especially now that it's looking like Gasol and Noah will be gone.

Bulls Receive: Avery Bradley, Jahlil Okafor, Terry Rozier, Robert Covington, #23, #24(from sixers), #31

76ers Receive: James Young, #3(Dunn or Murray)

Celtics Receive: Jimmy Butler

The Bulls do not want AB.  They want to reset.  They know they are screwed as long as Rose is on the team.  So they are going into rebuild mode.  I would not be shocked if both Rose and Butler are on different teams next year.

They want our #3, next years swap, and probably Smart.  Anything less than that and they hang up the phone.

Actually Steve Kyler has been saying that the Bulls have pressure to make the playoffs from ownership and want young pieces that are proven and can help them win now and in the future. I think we can put together a good package if they want to go either way, though.

Bulls ownership are morons then.

Trade their only asset for youth so they can make the playoffs?  That's not how that works.

I'm not sure the Bulls do that...and the 76ers are giving up a bit much as well....Not sure about this one.

I agree, that's just what Kyler said. I would bottom out if I was them.

C's are giving up too much:
AB, Rozier, Young, #3, #23, #31 for Butler.  Too much.

AB and #3 (essentially Dunn) is a lot for Butler since I don't consider AB that far behind Butler overall and he's a lot cheaper.  I'd probably do that deal since I'm not as high on Dunn as many but throwing in Rozier, #23 and #31 is overkill.

Can't see the Sixers doing it either.  Okafor, Covington and #24 for the #3 and Young is an overpay.

Only one making out is Chicago.  An All-Defense SG, a top Center prospect, a decent SF, a solid PG prospect, 2 first round picks and the first pick of the second round.  That's quite the haul for Butler.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

Way better. Our Guards are fine we need a big first. We beat ATL with a big and healthy AB.
Hopefully we trade down 3 and up 16 and 23 with some seconds and end up with three players from 10-15.

Philly says no way... Okafor, Covington AND  the #24   for the #3 (because Young has no value hardly)?  They would laugh so hard they'd drop the phone..
