Take this comparison as you will but the first set of statistics is Stephen Curry through six years and the next is a mystery player through 6 years of their career I'd like you to guess who it is.

Curry

8,714 points
89 blocks
717 steals
2866 assists
1719 rebounds

----------------

?

9575 points
101 blocks
735 steals
2301 assists
1768 rebounds

Well the block stats suggest it's a guard. Curry has had quite a few injuries in his career which have limited his games so it's either someone with similar production and injury issues or someone of lower production and injury free...

hmm... stab in the dark, Derek Fisher?

LeBron James, I think there was a post by NBA or ESPN that just did a comparison of both players in 6 years.

Although I agree with the above, Curry has had injuries in his career that limited him, if I remember correctly those injuries occurred when Monta Ellis was still on the team right?

Actually both players played very close to the same amount of games and yes it is a point guard.......it is agent zero Gilbert Arenas!!

Like I said earlier take this as you will but my personal belief is that Curry gets wayyyyy to much acclaim for team achievements. He is obviously the greatest shooter possibly ever but he is no way as good a player overall as Lebron let alone players like Bird, Magic, Jordan ect.

Agent Zero was one of my favorite players, but there is a significant differene. Curry did it for a two-time champion whereas Arenas did it for a treadmill fringe-playoff team. If Arenas was putting up those stats for the early-2000's Lakers or Kings, he would have been hailed as a god.

That's partially true. The last two years support your case and I'd be interested to look up the splits when I get some time. But before Kerr came about Steph was propelling the team forward when they didn't have other polished options really.

Not taking anything away from Curry because he's deserved the praise the last two years but he isn't on Lebron's level (it hurts every time my words complement Lebron). He is benefiting from a system that is built around his extraordinary abilities though, so he is very unique. To me the biggest thing separating him from that next level of superstar is his Finals performances. He's been MVP both years but has not been the best player in the Finals. That's the biggest indicator that the team is the biggest achievement

I didn't realize GS won the championship this season. I could have sworn the series was 3-2, going back to Cleveland.
