Rondo's recent comments suggest he won't be back to Sacramento, so they will be in need of a point guard. They also need perimeter D badly, which would make Dunn a perfect fit for them. They're rumored to be really hoping he drops to 8, which absolutely won't happen.

So what if we offered to move down with them in order to pick up WCS along with Chriss at 8? They largely picked WCS last year to appease Cousins, but they weren't all that great together. Further, they also have Koufos behind Cousins already, so WCS isn't all that needed. You could even throw one of the second rounders or Young in there if they want something else.

But WCS and Chriss project long-term  to be a big, super athletic, super defensive, excellent pairing together, especially if Chriss' range includes the NBA three (which it should from his highlights). Also, this wouldn't necessarily preclude us from bringing in someone like Love and bringing Chriss along slowly either. Further, WCS is the perfect defensive, athletic big to pair alongside Love, too, making this a good trade whatever way we proceed.

So what do you say? Yay or nay?

Before I answer can you tell me what WCS did last year? What makes him worth that move? I don't recall him doing anything in the 2 games against the C's. I need more info on him, thanks.

I don't love WCS but I'd do that.  One of that second group of players will fall.  I'm at a point now where throw them in a hat and pull one out.  It could be Brown, Murray, Bender, Hield or Chris's.

no trade the #3 for Jahlil Okafor. That's what I'm about right now and I think that's by far the better move.

I never understood why so many people wanted this guy, and yet despite his marginal, at best, skill level, he was the 6th pick last year? ::) Lol.  So he has quick feet and can block shots - woo.  I know that I've said this before, and I realize that every draft is different, but Thon Maker, who is even more agile than this dude and actually has skills, is all over the board, even slotted in the second round by draftexpress, but a quick, subpar rebounding guy from Kentucky is a consensus lottery pick? ::) Yeah, I get it - Thon didn't go to college, but in terms of basketball, one could make the argument that neither did WCS, lol.

Also, if Sacramento wants a center to pair with Cousins, why not just take Poeltl the Turtle and make WCS the third big guy in the rotation?

For playing mostly next to Cousins all year and having to play the quick 4's on D, he had a pretty solid rookie year. 7 ppl on 5 shots and .556fg%. 5.3 Rebs, 1 blk, .7 stls, .6 assts in 21 minutes a game. He was a solid contributor for them. As a five near the basket on both offense and defense, you'd expect his points and blocks to go up. He's the ideal type of center (quick, athletic, sound defensive fundamentals) to put next to someone like Love.

I would actually love to pair someone like Chriss next to Okafor, since you'd need a stretch-4, defensive power forward next to him.

#3 for WCS and #8 has been proposed a couple of times here.  I'm generally in favor of it, having originally suggested it, although I'd hope Brown fell to #8 instead of Chriss.

The beauty of this deal is Danny could sell his choice (in this case, Chriss) as his preferred choice after Simmons/Ingram and nobody could really argue against it. I also prefer Brown to Chriss, but DX has us taking Chriss at #3 right now - so that would be pretty amazing to pick up WCS along with one of the other six 2nd tier guys.

I wouldn't mind trading for WCS if we strike out on the Biyombo sweepstakes.

If #8 and WCS were on the table (they're not) for #3, and we knew we'd be getting Chriss at #8, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I'd do it for any of the top 8. So much better than trading for Okafor.

You think they like WCS that much? I'm not so sure. I think they'd love a chance at Dunn, which won't happen unless they trade up.

From everything I've read and heard regarding the Kings, they're very high on WCS. If you want to know more about the Kings situation, I'd listen to the Real GM Radio Kings recap.
