Who cares how fast a guy can do such drills, etc.?  Like the article states, the record holder isn't even an NBA player.  If they want to get an assessment of someone's mental toughness, just WATCH THE GAME FOOTAGE and see how they react going down the stretch of a tight game or how they perform when their shot isn't falling.  Watch their body language.  Do they hang their head, or continue to compete and find a way to contribute without scoring, etc.?  That should take precedent over how they perform during some run at the end of a workout, imo, but what do I know, lol?

I don't think they're using it to determine who they're gonna pick, but if someone does very poorly on it (or chooses not to do it) it raises some red flags that you may not see otherwise
I'm bitter.

I bet Jaylen killed it!

Possibly

Funny that some will fake a hamstring injury

Although a good sign that not everyone these days is just trying to make it rich

I bet Rozier killed it and that's why Ainge reached for him at #16.

The story was that Rozier 'killed it' in one of their other tests.   The Celtics run a drill that traps the ball handler in a particular way.  Normally, the best players get out of it 3 out of 5 times.  Apparently Rozier blew it up 5 out of 5.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

I know, it's just that I don't think that performing well or not in drills should really count for much, if anything.  Even the guys who can't shoot do really well in such drills during workouts but that doesn't mean that they'll shoot the same way in games, you know?

I really hope that that was not the reason for taking him, lol.

Huh, is Rozier an elite ballhandler? I've never thought of him that way. If he is, I can see why Ainge took him... elite handles+burst is a pretty sweet combo of traits for a PG.

His handle is pretty weak, I assume he was able to use his crazy burst to avoid being really trapped.

Also, we never really had a chance to work out the Irvings and the Wall's of the world.

I agree. Rozier and smart handle can pass for a sg but not really for a pg
