Lebron?  I don't think he'll ever even match Wiggins.

I don't think he will match Winslow either. considering how much Ainge was willing to trade for Winslow though, I can see him taking Brown.

People obviously have no idea what makes lebron great.  The physical is only a small part of it.  His basketball iq, ability to manage the game , etc. is beyond anyone in the game.  All time compares to some of the greatest ever (bird, magic).

I absolutely love Brown! He reminds me of a stronger, more athletic Kawhi Leonard, (who also had to craft his outside shot), and his strength would let him play some PF in a small ball line up, Ala Draymond Green.

However, I'm not sure that he has the highest ceiling of the players that we are looking at, and I kind of feel that we should take the BPA at three and not go for fit over talent/potential.

My pick has gone from Hield/Murray> to Brown> to Murray. As I said, I love Brown and would be totally content if we drafted him, but I just think Murray has more potential to be a star and possibly a higher ceiling.

My only worry for Brown is that he becomes a Stanley Johnson type player- a top ten pick, but not exactly a franchise player, and if we take him at 3, we risk the BPA going elsewhere. I wanted Stanley badly last year, and watched him do well, but not as well as I was hoping. Johnson and Brown are different beasts, but they enter the league with similar roles and skill sets. (Obviously Brown is an absolute freak athletically).

(BTW-I really like what DET is doing).

Someone else posted a Crowder for New Orleans pick trade in another forum, it would be amazing to sell high on Crowder and nab Brown in addition to Murray if Brown slipped to that pick.

Idk, I have draft fever right now. I'm torn between Brown and Murray. I want them both!  ;D

You have it totally backwards. LeBron's biggest assetts is his body, not his brain. He lacks the killer instinct gene that made Bird/Jordan great. (And Scalabrine, according to Ainge)  ;D

Are we talking about the same player? All I see LeBron do is travel, plow into people and get every call going his way, then panick in the clutch.

It's funny, we have the exact opposite opinion. I've always felt that LeBron could be one of the greatest ever if he only had a brain. (Or a heart)  ;D

Do you have any clips of him that aren't from his all star team in Miami? He was darn good as the third fiddle.

Let's assume Danny does pass on Bender and drafts Brown at #3 or he trades #3 and moves to #4-5 and picks Brown. Its gonna be a year or two before Jaylen Brown blossoms into his full potential. And let's assume he ends up becoming a player that is unstoppable on offense and great on defense. As the years go by draft by draft and the Celtics start to accumulate talent through the draft and guys like Bradley an Crowder start getting in their 30's. The Celtics could be looking at this kind of roster by 2020

Jaylen Brown SF
Josh Jackson W
Thon Maker C
Marvin Bagley PF
Terry Rozier PG

Assuming all these prospects live up to their hype. The Celtics could be a powerhouse for years to come.

Sure. There are plenty of example of lebron choking and plenty of him coming up big (see his 29 consecutive points when he was like 21) or his absolutely dominant playoffs last year.

I was all aboard the Lebron is not clutch bandwagon till he tore our throats out in 2011 and 2013. He proved to me he was big time in those two series and I'll never call him a choker again.

Iguodala or Kawhi seem more like the best case scenarios for Brown. LeBron is a beast of another level. He would have averaged 30, 15 and 10 if he spent a year in college.

This is just preposterous. Brown is a physical freak, but he's got a loooooong way to go.

Iggy is probably the best case scenario for him, and Iggy is awesome, but that's best case.

Maybe in the sense of a strong, bullish athlete with a poor jumpshot and a tendency to vacillate between single minded drives and passive off ball play.
