Everything is overshadowed by the Finals these days.

But the constant moving of coaches is interesting, and since this hiring went unnoticed in the blogs, a thread might be a good idea.

Among the things currently speculated on the internet are:

-how Hornacek will affect NYK moves in the FA

-how he will affect their offence

-and whether he will work together with Rambis

I don't think Hornacek effects their FA chances.

I am looking forward to seeing how Hornacek does in NYC. He did some great things in Phoenix before falling out with several players. It'll be interesting to see whether that was due to problems behind the scenes in Phoenix or if Hornacek just doesn't have the man management skills to make it as a head coach.

At first I thought this was an interesting hire, then read that Phil is still forcing the triangle offense on the Knicks

"New York Knicks president Phil Jackson thinks the team can make the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference, but suggests the club may need to tweak the spacing in its triangle offense to adapt to the modern NBA."

Look for the Knicks to continue to miss the playoffs

Not Hornacek, but his daughter can help sell the knicks :-)

GULP! I could learn to love the triangle, if she's involved in it.
