****REVISED****

To Denver: 3, 16, 23, 31, 35, 45, 51, 58

To Boston: Jokic and 7 OR Nurkic and 7, whichever Denver prefers

Use the 7th on Poeltl or Bender if he falls, so we can finally improve our front-court.

I'd have to be sold on #7 and Jokic for just #3 nevermind emptying our cupboard of trade assets/opportunities to add decent young talent.

horribly lopsided deal.

Jokic was arguably the third best rookie this year, and appears poised to be a solid center for years to come. We need to somehow dump all of these picks, turn them into at least one solid NBA player, because drafting eight players is ridiculous for all but a team in rebuild mode. Time is running out before these so-called assets become liabilities.

The Nuggets have 5 picks of their own.  This deal would give them a total of 12 picks.

Unlike us, they are rebuilding. They would likely package a bunch of picks to move up in their top slots, or grab a future pick. Unlike us, they are also masterful at scouting Euros, so who knows what kind of draft-and-stash players they might have in mind.

Yes, I am obsessed with us getting a good center. I would even overpay for one. Short of getting Durant, I see getting a decent center as our best chance of improving this offseason.

Is Jokic that good?  Can't we find our own Jokic at 16, 23 or 31?

If he really is that good then I don't think Denver needs this deal considering the 3-7 washout factor and that they can add their well-scouted guys at 15 and 19.  I just learned today that Jokic is the better prospect between him and Nurkic, so then I don't think they give him up for modest gains elsewhere.

DEN loves Jokic. They wouldn't trade Jokic alone for all those picks, let alone Jokic and #7.

Are they more in love with him than Nurkic? I'll take either one.

Yes, Jokic is special.

Nuggets' Malone says he wouldn't trade Nikola Jokic for anybody

Forget Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns or New York’s Kristaps Porzingis. The numbers point to Denver’s Nikola Jokić (thecauldron)

Nurkic for #3 has been rumored.

Considering the only good draft picks we have made since the formation of the Big Three are Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart, I see no reason to believe we are likely to find our own Jokic at 16, 23 or 31.

.

They might be in love with a guy who is gonna go third or fourth. Their roster does not really have room for two good centers.

You know, we could maybe add Olynyk and Young to the deal, or give them away to someone else for a late second-round draft-and-stash, thereby freeing up more cap space for us. We could also take the option on Amir and throw him into the deal if that is what it takes to get it done. Our starting center and depth would be ultra cheap, providing flexibility elsewhere. Sign Horford, sign Durant, sign a MLE guy who can play PF/C to a one year deal, and look at our strength in numbers:

1: IT/Smart/Rozier
2: Bradley/Smart/Hunter
3: Durant/Crowder
4: Horford/Jerebko/MLE/Mickey
5: Nurkic/MLE/Poeltl

Tell me that team cannot dethrone King James...

still lopsided and no way Denver takes on 12 picks figuring they're going to be even more desperate to consolidate picks.

with the picks you're giving up, I would expect to get a minimum of 3 decent players if not more (above average starter at 3, solid rotation player at 16 and decent bench guy at 23 and that's not including the players available after that that could become someone).

for 8 picks in this draft, including the third pick, we'd better walk away with something better than a project center and the #7.  again, I'd have to be convinced Jokic is starter material to go with the #7 before I send them the #3 alone
