Even though he plays limited minutes in GS the guy is a force ... One of the Celtics biggest issues was lack of offensive rebounding and shot blocking and this guy would be a huge upgrade over Amir at probably the same price .. Still young and hungry... let Amir and Sull walk DA bring him in..

He has had too many injuries the first few years. Combine that with the fact that CBS wants guys who are skilled in multiple ways, not just rim runners and shot-blockers, and I don't think he is a great fit.

Well with the cap going up so much he's probably going to get $12 million plus offered per year...

For the projected cost, I would take him over Howard in a heartbeat.

Although, I'd also be just as fine picking up Amir's option.

I expect him to get much more than that.

The rumor was that the Lakers would have to offer something like $50 million/3 years to have a chance of discouraging Golden State from matching.

With the cap rising over the next 2 seasons, Ezeli is definitely getting paid more than $12m per year.

I was working at Vandy when he played there, so I am biased. But, I would pay that man his money (Russian voice)

I like Ezeli, but not for the Celtics and probably not for the price he's going to command.  He's bouncy and does some things well, particularly when he can use his athleticism, but his BBIQ is pretty low and he makes infuriating mistakes with alarming frequency.  His flaws don't really hurt the Warriors that much because they can play him situationally, but that wouldn't be the case on a less great team where he'd be a $15m-16m player expected to start and contribute.  I'd love the Lakers to throw that $50m offer at him.

I feel like we could probably draft someone Ezeli's skill level in the middle of the first round and get basically the same production at a fraction of the cost.

Ezeli is nice but he stops being such a great piece once he's paid like a starter rather than on a rookie contract.

I also kind of doubt he'd look so good on a team that doesn't have three or four skilled offensive players on the floor beside him pretty much at all times.
