I think Kobe has a great point, why shouldn't Hield be able to play in the NBA like he does now? (Of course after adjusting to the competition)
In my opinion Hield has the most superstar potential in this draft besides Ingram and Simmons.
I hear a lot of people say that he will be just a spot up shooter in the NBA, but I dont get why.
He has a great work ethic and comes up clutch in important games, these are things you can't teach.
And by the way his physical profile leaves a lot of room to grow, I think he is a lot more athletic than people give him credit for.
I mean who would be surpised if he averaged around 19 ppg in his rookie year like Lillard did?
I wouldn't because he is just a gifted scorer.

What do you think? What detains him from stardom? Why should he stop improving?

Sometimes being older is an advantage. Who is to say that any of the freshmen leaving after this year would be able to put up the incredible numbers he did if they stuck around for 3 more years.  Plus you get a guy who is more likely to contribute right away, instead of learning on the job like the rookies we usually draft.  It can be an asset, really.

I really like/want Hield but I don't agree with your statement.

1. Jordan is the GOAT but it doesn't mean he knows who is the best or will be a surefire NBA player.
2. Bender may be the best player from the draft for all we know. Look at all the teams that passed on Kobe. 2B. I don't see too many people who like him acting as if they are so smart for liking/wanting him.
3. You sound salty for no reason.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Bryant watched Evan Turner’s performance in Ohio State’s double-overtime victory over Illinois in the Big Ten tournament, and that was all he needed to see.

“He seemed like the best player in the country to me,” Bryant said of Turner. “…He looked like he has all the tools. I think Wall is a great player, but I like Turner.”

Turner, a 6-foot-7 swingman, entered the NCAA tournament averaging 20.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists. Bryant likened him to Portland Trail Blazers’ All-Star guard Brandon Roy(notes).

“He can shoot, can handle, can go left, smooth, doesn’t rush anything,” Bryant said. “He has a good pace to him.”

But was he wrong for thinking that? Turner had great potential! what player would he be today if he had Hields work ethic and mind set? (Or a reliable jumper?)

I bet Jordan likes Bender go figure, he reminds me of Adam Morrison, tall and skinny without the production in Israel.   Sounds like a MJ pick.

I don't think anyone questions that he can play a role at the next level.  The question is what role will he play.  The consensus from people I've read and listened to seems to be that he will probably be a role player.  A mostly offball shooter who is a decent defender at the two.

I'm fairly confident Buddy Hield will play a role in the NBA. The question is whether he'll be Allen Crabbe or Avery Bradley or JJ Redick or James Harden.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

What if Kobe chooses Hield as his heir, and LA is then obligated to draft him #2.
