Odd statement for sure, now we can all fantasize about trading up to #1. :blank:

There was just an article yesterday that said Ben Simmons is the best player in this draft by far and Philly will definitely draft him.   Funny.

I'll certainly take Ingram any way we can't get him, but I would much rather Philly get Simmons than LAL; I don't want the next Magic Johnson to be bringing more championships to LA.

Does anyone else feel there are similarities with Chriss and Tyrus Thomas?

Many of us were shocked by Chad Ford's recent mock draft having us select Marquese Chriss with the Brooklyn pick.

What do you think? Next Amare Stodemire? Next Hakim Warrick? Somewhere in between?

I see some Tyrus Thomas there.

I too want Ingram and I'm not sure Simmons is championship driven but he is clearly money driven. But to give you my prediction, I do believe Simmons ends up a Faker. Simmons has made it clear he wants to be a Faker. Maybe something like the #2 pick + Randel for the #1?

Gives Philly a chance to draft a good player still and add PF along with trade assets in either Noel or Okafor.

Philly is looking at guys for possible trades of Okafor/Noel.

I don't think Philly has any interest in randle. It would have to be Clarkson (fa?) Or russell and the 2 for simmons. Philly is guard hungry, and they are front court "loaded."

Apparently they would be drafting Murray in this example. That gives them one guard. I suppose they could do a Russell for Okafor swap as well. Why not? Still gives us Ingram.

Why are they overvaluing one of the logical #3 picks in the draft if they are reportedly trying to acquire the pick for one of their bigs? Is this Philly's incompetence or maybe they are not interested in our pick at all? Maybe they just want to bring in veterans like Teague? PhoSita suggested they might be trading back, but why not simply trade a redundant big for #3 unless we're simply no longer interested because we have bigger fish to fry like Butler?

There's gamesmanship and then there is stupid.

When Danny does it, it's gamesmanship.  You find yourself possibly believing they are looking at the left hand, when the coin is really in the right hand.  *POOF* - It's magic!

This comment...nobody with 3 working brain cells believes for a moment that the 76ers would be stupid enough to choose Murray at #1.  It's like saying "I saw Elvis working a Wal-Mart in Boise, Idaho last week!"

...yeah, right!

It's as if Philly heard the buzz about L.A. liking Bender and Boston liking all of the 27 prospects vying for the #3 pick and decided "hey let's try to bluff too".

Can you imagine if Philly drafted Murray and traded Okafor to us for one of our "established" guards?

We could potentially end up with Ingram and Okafor for a package built around Smart! That would be sick.
