I'd trade Bradley, #16 and #23 for Butler. Maybe add some 2nd round or any combination of Young, Hunter and Rozier as sprinkle. But I won't include #3 for that package. Bulls better choose. It's either #3 or Bradley.

Guys, Jimmy Butler is NOT GETTING TRADED. I don't know how many times I've said that. He is the Bulls center piece. They r not trading him. Not even for the #1 pick. Danny Ainge is not trading out of #3. He will make the pick. The Celtics are not trading the #3 pick. They will keep the pick. There is not a player out there worth all that in a trade. Not even Lebron James.

Again: THE BOSTON CELTICS ARE NOT TRADING OUT OF THE #3 PICK. Stop posting these dumb rumors. Please. Thank you...

for those who can't see the article:
Butler for AB, Rozier, Jonas, #3 and #16

seems a bit steep.  maybe #23 for #16 instead.

Agree. Seems a bit steep. I doubt Danny would do this.  I wouldn't give up the no.3 and those players. Butler overvalued here.

God I hope we don't do this.  How much better is Butler than AB?  Now consider the salary difference.  No way this makes sense.

I agree Bulter is not a giant up grade over AB ......

Durrant is the goal...maybe ?

Durrant an't leaving OKC to team up with AB

Can Avery Bradley create his own shot? Boston has only one player under contract that can do that- IT.

Jimmy Butler is a decent upgrade over Bradley.
Does that mean we are keeping Crowder?  How about RJ and James Young in for Rozier, in the deal. We throw in Sullinger if they agree to put Portis in the deal! LOL

Butler and Portis
#3, Bradley, Jerebko, Young, Hunter, Sullinger and the 23.

Especially if Durant needs a Butler!

You said a couple of dumb things in this post. Any Gm that doesn't trade Butler for Ben Simmons will be fired.

You wouldn't trade #3 for Lebron James??  Step into my office PAULP. Your fired!!!

Adding Butler without giving up Crowder or any Nets picks after this year... Sounds great.

Still leaves us with max cap space and a really great situation to pitch for free agents.

This move simply doesn't move the needle for me... we'd be trading reasonably-priced AB for max AB. AB and Butler are so similar that I wouldn't even consider this trade and I doubt DA is considering it either.

And I don't think we should be gutting our team and future flexibility to potentially sign Durant... look what happened to Phoenix trying to chase Aldridge - they got stuck with a bunch of pieces they don't need

This is a really bad value.  Trading away a great contract, plus both picks?  Have to be kidding.

Unless its trade that brings about a FA or another trade, no way.

Lol, I didn't say I wouldn't trade #3 for Lebron James. I said that trade fantasy offer is not worth It. Not even for Lebron James. Your talking the #3, #16 pick, Avery Bradley and an asset in Rozier. Not worth throwing all that out the window for Butler. U guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment thinking any of these fantasies the media throws at u will happen. Its not gonna happen.

If you think Jimmy Butler and Avery Bradley are similar players, then I doubt your knowledge of either of them.

Well if Durant says "do it and I'll sign" then done.  If he says do it and I'll consider you... no way.  If he gives no indication one way or the other... no way.  Butler just isn't enough of an upgrade at a position we are least in need of an upgrade.

I highly doubt that Ainge completely mortgages our future on a slight chance at Durant. If he's doing anything to get Durant it's because KD's agent said that if they make these moves he's headed to the Eastern Conference.

Does this mean you value Crowder more than the number 3?  For me #3 > Crowder.  But I do really like Crowder and to lose him would suck for sure...

I kinda agree with this, but after this trade I'd be shopping IT to get back in at 5 if Dunn is still available. Grab Dunn at 5. Sign Ezeli for 13 M.
PG: Kris Dunn
SG: Jimmy Butler
SF: Jae Crowder
PF: Amir Johnson
C: Festus Ezeli
That backcourt would be sooo nasty!! Add a front court player at either SF, PF, or C in next year's draft and then we should be ready to take that next step. I don't like the value of the Butler trade because I really like Dunn, but when we look back on this and realize what we stole in Jimmy Butler we will be fine. Especially considering the effect he will have on FA.

Oh come on, you have NO idea what DA is going to do. To say that Bulter wont get traded, and that DA isn't going to trade the pick with that much conviction is a bit much.

Now you can have a feeling, thats fine. But this rumor was most likely based on the trade deadline rumor that they had a deal for Butler, but Chicago back out last minute. Also could have been the Sixers and Okafor. But what ever the trade that almost went down most likely didn't happen because team X wanted to see where the pick was. If it ended up being 5th or 6th, they would have whiffed on that trade.

But now being pick 3, we may see that trade happen. DA may not pull any trigger until he see's who goes 1 and 2, Unless its an unbelievable player coming back. I only say this because LA has liked Dunn, could trade Russel for Okafor, and snag Dunn with the 2nd pick. Also Chicago has liked Dunn, and LA is also wants to be relevant again, and with CHI firing some one in Roses camp, I could see LA trade 2 for Rose, and grab Dun to run with Butler and McBuckets.

THEN Ingram drops to 3 and Jackpot!

Also DA could trade for Okafor with the 3, or draft Bender and he's either the next coming od Dirk, or Darko.

So to know what DA is going to do is silly. DA doesn't even know what DA is going to do until the last few seconds of when they have to make the pick.

Butler for 3, 16, Rozier, JJ is what I'm hoping for. You end up with some gteat rotations at PG, SG and SF
IT/Smart
Butler/AB/Smart
Crowder/Butler

They would still need a very good big man to help AJ, KO and Mickey.
