Thoughts?

I would.pull the trigger in this... leaves cap space for another star.

for those who can't see the article:
Butler for AB, Rozier, Jonas, #3 and #16

seems a bit steep.  maybe #23 for #16 instead.

Only if you're [dang] sure it's what Kevin Durant wants. Then, absolutely. And we still need a plan to get *a* center on the roster. Maybe Gasol or Whiteside or every remaining pick and young player plus our firstborn children for Cousins.

I don't think that trade helps us as much as people think it will.

Hurts our chance of having double-max cap space.  Butler isn't as dramatic an upgrade over Bradley as people think (Bradley might be a better shooter and apparently is a better defender according to the All-Defense rankings).  And the #3 pick, while looking grim, could reasonably end up someone better than Butler.

I don't like it...at minimum...wait till the draft is over and see who we get at #3 and see how the rest of the draft shakes out...

As I said in other threads, I agree with that premise... if that's what Durant wants, I'd do it.  But I would trade the #3 pick, Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder to the Lakers for a moldy chicken nugget if that's what it took to get Durant to Boston.

Does Butler make us a better team than AB and the #3 pick (also mention I like Rozier a lot)? AB is a better defender, sure Butler is overall a better player and I like a lot of guys at #3.

Not sure, guess I would do it if you force me to make a decision but right now I'm on the fence. :-\

Butler, Portis
Bradley, #3, #16

Also makes some a little more sense for us. Portis would look good on a cheap contract with scorers around him. I'm sure Bulls don't like that counter, but Bradley + #3 is already a lot for Butler.

I really want to hear this from someone reliable like Woj. This sounds like speculation.

Agreed. That's the potential beauty- being able to overpay in a trade, because of the follow up move. It should be plan A, where the only question is limiting the overpay as much as we can help it. He might prefer a fresh nugget, though, or at least Chick Fil-A.

Bleacher Report, whom this guy is quoting, is not generally seen as a reliable source of sports media.
