Lebron will make Love the fall guy.  You will starting reading stories ( mostly espn, because that's Lebron's network ) on how Love didn't fit in, he was distracted etc.  My prediction is that Love gets dealt on draft night...

Love gets moved for somebody. Hello Melo.
Maybe Irving for Paul.
Lue gets fired and Lebron officially becomes players coach.
I hear the popcorn guys are on notice too.

Come on, guys, let's not get ahead of ourselves, here.  As much as I enjoyed game 1 and want GSW to mop the floor with Lebron, it's just that - one game.  Never underestimate the enemy.

The right move would be to hire a real GM and stop having LeBron dictate the roster construction so much, but I doubt that will happen.

I argue with my friends all the time about how lebrons biggest obstacle to history is his incessant need to control every aspect of the organizational side of basketball. Imagine an awesome gm by his side? Look how successful the heat were with riley.

IMO This is the crux of the matter. LeBron, when teamed with GM Pat Riley, was a winner because LBJ had to defer to the weight, legend and experience of Pat Riley. D-Wade had a ring, he played with Shack. Yes, when in Miami, James had pressure to win, but nothing like he himself has created in Cleveland, where he is revered as GOD.

LaBron simply will not let that team breath without his stamp of approval. He's the coach, he's the GM, he's the voice of the owner, he gives the pre-team instructions of how they should enjoy the moment. lol. He is totally overbearing.

I'm not a fan of Irving or Love, but they, and that entire team play tight, the bigger the game, the tighter they get. Watching LeBron back down his defender, and explore "his" options. Always looking to see if LeBron is happy with their play, and decisions.

I would be perfectly content to see LeBron James never win another championship again. And he may never again until he learns to be a teammate, and not a "God"

It's amazing how short people's memories are.  Did everyone forget how S.A dominated OKC in game 1 of that series.  That series was over and they had no chance right...  I still think Cleveland has a shot, absolutely hated their game plan in game 1 though.  They need ball movement and spacing instead of ISO ball.

I agree with all this, and add Wade signing for short $$, and there you have it.

I disagree that the Caves loss is an eventuality, however.

As much as I dislike Bron Bron and company, I still think they can and will win.

I picked the Warriors to come back and win in 6 vs the Thunder, when they were down 2-1, so I was wrong, it took them 7. I hope that I am wrong here, but I think the Caves win in 6.

The Cavs are Toast. This will be a summer of finger pointing. Could not happen to a nicer guy. Go Steph and crew. The Celtics would play the Warriors better.

Love to Boston, Melo to Cleveland, picks to the Knicks.

Makes too much sense to not happen imo.

Here is a nice snaky idea for Lebron, who should NOT go to the final again next year, which will probably happen if he stays in Cleveland. The dude needs a year of rest so he can come back stronger. for his twilight career years.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hqmdqah

I can totally picture him in Philly.  He had a chance to mentor Wiggins and he blew it.  Now he gets a redo and the chance to mentor Simmons.  Plus, he can invent an injury and miss half of Philly's games next year and ensure they get a top 3 pick next year.  Yes Philly gets to tank again because they have Lebron to be the great hope and official Spokesperson For the Future.  Brilliant.

Chicago gets a nice package for Butler.  Cleveland rolls with age-appropritate buds Irving, Butler and Love, not to mention Noel and Embiid.

Sixers Roster

Tyson Chandler. Dimond Stone or Zubac, etc..
Simmons, Saric
Lebron, Saric
Stauskas
ISh, Wade Baldwin/Dem. Jackson/Caris Levert, etc...

As I said, minimal effort from Lebron next year just a lot of teaching.  Lottery again.
Or maybe I"m wrong, maybe there's a stud veteran PG who could join Lebron, Chanlder, Simmons and Saric for decent record, but I really think Lebron should just have a year by the pool.

edit:  not only another great draft choice in 2017, but an amazing free agent buffet to choose from.  Lebron could wrestle Colangelo for who to pick in 2017 and who to sign with him and Simmons..In two years they'd be better than Cleveland is now for sure.

This series is not over.  GSW held court, big deal.  Let's see what happens next two games before deciding LBJ's retirement plans.

Heheh.  I agree. Could get ugly too.  I expect the kind of physicality that is borderline...JR Smith?
Barring injury though I think it's over (as far as outcome).

A sign and trade of Kevin Love for Dwight Howard.

Morey's moneyball three point ideology teams up Harden + K-Love.

I can see Dwight and LeBron wanting to team up together. Dwight gets another chance at a Championship. LeBron finally gets to play with a high level interior center. Cleveland fixes their defensive weaknesses by removing Love. Then needs to trade T.Thompson for a stretch four.

Can you play Howard against the Warriors? I think at this point, every move Cleveland do should be tailored to helping them field a team that can be beat Golden State.

Is a stretch four really the way to beat the Warriors?

If anything I think what you want at the four is a player who can defend in space on the perimeter and in the pick and roll, and on the other end punish smaller players one on one, whether posting up or face up via triple threat and drive. A big guy who doesn't need to be set up by an entry pass to take advantage of mismatches.

Basically Paul Millsap, or a more assertive Serge Ibaka sort of player.
