I would have loved to have gotten Ibaka and used him as a center. His defensive quickness at center next to our perimeter players would have been awesome. His shooting at center to space the floor.

Surely Avery Bradley and the #16 would have been a better trade package. Maybe something else. Surely Ainge could have topped that Orlando offer.

You would think. A first-team all-defender who can shoot. Ibaka would help with the Durant chase, too.

I will say Sabonis is one of my favorite personalities in the draft.  I'm not sure how good a player he is but i'll root for him.

guessing Ibaka has less in the tank than people realize.  Not seeing this as move that's going to convince Durant to stay long term

Yeah, not at all. I just don't see how that works. Ilyasova is a decent get to stretch the floor, but he doesn't defend at all. I HIGHLY dislike the Oladipo get. That just doesn't make sense at all next to Westbrook and Durant.

Ilyasova and Kanter together is a very bad defensive duo. Sabonis is only a rookie and will take time before he learns how to defend. That leaves Steven Adams as their only reliable defensive player. Not looking good for OKC's title chances next year.

Oladipo is there to replace Westbrook when he goes to LA.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

That's not a better offer.  Orlando overpaid for sure.

So, is Mario Hezonja now going to be their starting SG?

Wow, Prince went high.  So that could mean a pretty good guy will slip to 16.
Yep. Two reaches by other teams so far means someone good may slide to 16.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't like the fit for OKC but they won the trade easily.  If they got that offer they kind of have to take it and figure it out later.  I don't think it was anything to do with Westbrook.

Probably better off that way. Oladipo is overrated.

Are they legitimately giving up and breaking up the team? Because it doesn't really make all that much sense otherwise. Perhaps Westbrook told them that there's no way he stays next year.
