Ainge will strike out in free agency. Always does.

When was the last time he had cap space to sign a star free agent?  It isn't like we've had a good team and cap space before.

Do you guys realize we have limited roster space?  This forum is nuts tonight.

Honestly I just don't what's going on.
They assessed the draft talent level as weak - like enough of their current players that they don't think anyone after Brown would be an upgrade to  someone already on the roster so they drafted 2 stash players and traded two 2nds for a future first.  Actually what I figured they'd end up doing, though you can of course debate the quality of the guys they took.

Maybe Danny uses those picks then and some bums on th team to upgrade.  #3 16 young, hunter for Noel and Covington and guess what we woulda got rid of picks, gotten our SF and pf and still coulda picked ya ba dabba and detonate Davis. Ainge ****ed himself because he thinks other GM's are idiots

It wouldn't have even took that! It only would've cost the #3 lol It's absolutely crazy that he didn't take that deal, unless he thinks he can get one of their bigs cheaper later this offseason.

I still say trade Rozier for him. They need a point guard still.

This is a situation Danny should have been prepared for beforehand. Just throwing away these supposed "assets" for nothing because "other teams are trying to rip us off" is a sign of incompetence.

If nobody's trading with you, maybe you should stop stockpiling draft picks...

Anige had plenty of offers today, but he felt like they weren't enough.
Of course he did, because he's irrational and thinks he should fleece every single GM that he trades with.

I like Brown so I like the pick, Zizic looks like a solid center who can play backup and I don't have information for the rest.

Idk what would be worse, drafting all these guys or giving a max contract to Al Horford.

Pick your poison!

Maxing Horford would be great.

Woj just said he expects very few if any major free agents to change teams.

This is the part where Ainge trades the remaining picks for magic beans and some self described intelligent fans think it's the best deal that was out there.

I view picks past 40 or so like the end pieces of a loaf of bread. I mean, yeah, they technically have value, but you may as well throw them out

Are you going to insult people for not getting mad at Danny for not using them?
I'm bitter.

Trader Danny is gonna keep us hanging until he can finally swing that big trade. Or retire.

But free agency is around the corner. Fireworks! Heh.

The KG trade and Brooklyn trade has absolutely hurt Danny's ability to trade with and his expectations for trades. No GM wants to look like an idiot like Billy King, and Danny now expects home runs on every single trade. You have to hit a single or a double every once in awhile, too.

This idea is absolutely stupid.

Would you rather have GM who everyone loves to trade with because he gets fleeced?

Think about what you are saying.

Come on.

Any details on the fair trades he turned down, or just speculation and that one 76ers trade?

Re-sign Turner and figure out a way to upgrade Sullinger and add a rotation shooter and I'm good with the team.  Only way you contend for a title next year is to sign Durrant and that's a huge longshot - at best.  So much for Wyc's 'fireworks'.
