Yeah yeah a King is born, blah blah

OK... 2015-16 is over, and 2016-17 has begun. Lets roll up our sleeves and get to work.

odds of Love being there next year? my vote is not very high.

Low.

The Cavs will trade Love for a couple wings and a pick or two and go on to win 65+ next year.  They will win another title or two in the next five years and LeBron will go down as the best ever.

It was nice believing in the Warriors and Curry while it lasted.  Back to being LeBron's league.  Small ball and pace and space is nice, but when LeBron is at the 4 nobody can do it better.

There is a certain something to watching one of the worst best players of an era getting a ring.

JR Smith or Shumpert?
Oh. Did I ever tell you Lebron won two rings in Miami? And one in Cleveland! Wow.

Shouldn't the Celts go young?

Nobody in the East is beating the Cavs anytime soon.  I say the Celts go all-in on building a young squad that can be ready to compete in three or four years when LeBron is starting to wind down his career and the Cavs are more reliant on Kyrie.

LeBron is the greatest of all time.

Man.  Amazing series by the Cavs, especially LeBron and Kyrie.

All time collapse by the Warriors.  They couldn't get any shots inside at the end and they lost.  Couldn't hit a shot.  You need to be able to get shots inside or else you open yourself up to this kind of result.  Battled all game and got four or five great opportunities and they couldn't finish.  Kyrie did.  LeBron did.

So disappointed.  I can't imagine being a Warriors fan right now.  Epic failure.  Beaten by a great, great opponent.  But this tarnishes their legacy irreparably.  Empty season.  Totally empty.
Can't let that one stand. How old are you. LeBron James is maybe top10, maybe. I can name 10 better players.

Nonsense.

He's going to get to the Finals another 3-4 times, at least, if he stays healthy.

Kyrie will go down as one of the all-time second bananas.  Pippen, McHale, Parker.

The Cavs will trade Love for some extra wings this summer and dominate the regular season next year.  The Warriors will fall behind the Thunder and the Spurs and become a footnote.  The Cavs will build a dynasty.

I believed the Warriors were the best team in the league this year.  But they couldn't get to the finish line.  Tough to rely on the jumper as much as they did.  In this game 7, they were only in it through the 3rd quarter because of great defense mixed with crazy shot making.  The shots stopped falling in the fourth and they lost to a team with the best player in the series.

Curry was injured, sure, and I stand by everything I've ever said about his regular season being better than LeBron's.  He was the regular season MVP this year.  But LeBron was the greatest in the playoffs, once again.  Kudos to LeBron.
Whatever. The nonsense is calling him the greatest:
Russell, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt, Hakeem...

It's just going to suck when James joins the Lakers this summer with Durant.  But it's fun nonetheless.

Beating the 73 win warriors is like knocking out George foreman

Ahaha you never stop, do you?  TP for the laugh.
Lol it's what woj and Bill Simmons keep saying is in play.

But right now we just need to sit back and appreciate the fact we just witnessed arguably the greatest basketball player of all time have hi Ali vs Foreman moment.

This makes me almost want to have kids... So I can tell their kids about this some day.

Absolutely not.

hardly.

I take Russell, Wilt, Bird, Magic and Jordan over him without thinking twice.

Next rung down I take Kareem, Shaq, Oscar Robertson, Duncan and Hakeem over him too.

That's 10 and I think most people would find it difficult to take him over any of those guys --> more complete and/or more impact on the game when they played

Kyrie the only guy to make a bucket in the last 4min.   Elite offense.   Always been my favourite.

When all is said and done, LeBron will have at least 3 titles, and probably over a decade of Finals appearances.

Nobody can touch that aside from Jordan and maybe Kareem.  Though I think Kareem is more analogous to Duncan.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
The only big other than Draymond that did anything (or seemed to) was Speights. He had a great, energetic stretch there in the first half and then we never saw him again. I thought I would never have to see Varejao again and here he is getting major minutes in game 7 of the finals...and, w-t-f on Ezeli.

Yes, future tense.  Glad you came to your senses.

I really don't like Kyrie's game, but he came up huge in this series. He looked like a young Wade out there, only with more range and less getting to the line.  He was actually pretty good on defense, too.

Curry meanwhile looked mortal.

Draymond had an amazing game.  Klay and Barnes couldn't make the kind of difference they needed to make.

More than that, can we stop the fascination with small ball?  Please?  Pretty please? ;D
