I really think that the deep rooted passion and drive is going to dissipate from Lebron after this. I think he stays in Cleveland and takes it down a notch and lets his teammates do more from now on. They need to trade Love for better fitting pieces though.

Why change if you are the champ?

The passion to redeem himself and get a title for his hometown is gone. You could just see it lift off his shoulders and the relief wash over him when it happened.

Too many injuries for GS to repeat.

No, they should have finished the Cavs off when they were up 8 early on in game 5.  Not only that, but to be up 3-1 and lose both games 5 and 7 at home?  In the finals?  Inexcusable.  What an epic choke job.

It was injuries. Curry was never right throughout the playoffs. Bout was missed tonight and Iggy was not 100% tonight.

Injuries or not, GS had their chances and blew it, and Cleveland got it done when it mattered. Gotta give Cleveland credit that is due to them.

I think we are saying the same thing. A fully healthy Curry would have polished them off in game 5. A healthy Bogut and Iggy would have won this game.

Ty Lue wins the all time Right Place/Right Time award.

Definitely, but Spoelstra was also rewarded with Lebron and Bosh and four straight trips to the finals. I agree that a shoe could have taken Lue's place this year, but I never thought much of Spoelstra and he actually was able to learn to be an average coach after several years. Maybe Lue will get the same opportunity.

Wing a championship will do that to you. I doubt he was so happy simply for the city of Cleveland.

Yeah, but that's why you end it at home in game 5.  I know that Curry was hurt, and that's fair, but they still had great depth.

The loss of Bogut for game 6 and 7 will be overlooked in this game.  Give him Ezeli's minutes and this is a very different game.

I think Curry clearly not being healthy was the biggest issue. His field goal percentage near the rim dropped and he had lost all explosiveness off the dribble.

Curry is more healthy than Iggy and Bogut. Injuries of their defensive players, especially Bogut really hurt them as Cavs exposed their lack of rim protection.

I think the Cavs defense on Thompson and Curry was the bigger factor. They made it very hard for them. They forced the Warriors to beat them with other players. Even Green hitting 7 or 8 threes wasn't enough.
Physical, hard nosed and excellent perimeter coverage.

He never looked nearly as happy and relieved when he won two in Miami. This is very different.
