So as we know, Brown worked out for us.
Here is Sean Deveney (pretty good reporter imo) on the workout:
(Btw, Danny said Brown was great in the workout)
Cal freshman Jaylen Brown worked out for the Celtics this week, but according to a source at the workout, it was Danuel House who stole the show, matching up nicely against Brown and showing he has the potential to be a steal as a 3-and-D wing in the second round.

Danuel House. That's a name I'm surprised I don't hear more often in draft talk. He's got a near perfect NBA body for sure. I never thought of him as much of a defender though, but maybe? I don't think I've seen his name in a single mock draft.
Have you seen House play? I'm only asking because I really haven't, although it has been stated that he did a great job on Simmons and he certainly does have the tools to be an excellent defender, but again, I'm only moderately familiar with the guy.
Yeah I saw him a few times. My recollection is I thought he looked fairly disinterested in defense at Texas A&M. He looked competent, but didn't have any real intensity on defense. Which is why I am surprised by hearing this news of his defense on Brown and Simmons, but maybe I just didn't see enough of him or he always had more than he showed.
Where he stood out in college was on offense. He reminded me of Corey Maggette a lot. Physical, strong perimeter player who drives to the hoop really strong and well and has a knack for getting to the foul line. Not a very efficient scorer and very much a 1-1 guy. Very streaky outside shooter who was very dangerous at times in the NCAA and SEC tourney.
TP for the info. His shooting percentages were atrocious, though, and he really only hit the 3 with consistency during his junior year. His senior season, in terms of fg and 3pt percentage, was almost exactly like RJ Hunter's, except that RJ got to the line more and made them at a much better clip and had way more steals and assists. At least RJ had two years of shooting the 3 at .365 and .395 before the significant drop off during his junior year (.305). House can hardly make that claim, and his junior campaign appears to be nothing more than an outlier in that regard, unfortunately. Can he post up?
Oh well, even if can't play, at least he'll be able to replace Sully's hair
